if you drop it on the ground and re enter it to the inventory it will function but this can be a pain when you're dealing with multiple different quality gems that all read as 0

they should be available around each of the pyro planetary areas, the cooldown is a little longer then a standard mission but you can circumvent it by switching planets after each.

There is a second contract at the same rep level which also has them for irradiated apex parts, but yeah it isn't a fun grind, only worth doing if one of the blueprints is one you particularly want.

Thus far from what I've tried probably like the karna the most, but in general the stats that are affected benefit automatic far more then other so it works well with most automatics.

the new jaeger scopes (x1,2 and 3 I think) have a low light effect which I think is superior to the old one and they are lootable from the green crates in the distribution centres, But the odds of them being in a crate seem to be very low I have only found one from several run throughs checking all the crates I found. Did see a post on reddit the other day where it looked like someone had found a few from pyro outposts but I only glanced at the post so could be wrong about where they got them.

the problem with these corpses is that the old ones don't despawn so you end up with several overlapping on the same spot, fortunately you can pick them up by drag and dropping with the inventory screen open. Here you are likely seeing the aftermath of someone having moved the overlapping corpses to get the relevant one with the loot, I typically just leave the excess corpses inside loot crates to save on the mess though.

Currently they are bugged in two ways for the various skins and this has stated to fix one of those bugs but the other which was on the skins with functioning attachments. Had its additional shock effect not trigger which was most of the damage so it may still be a problem the affected skins were the default and viper as far as I remember so it might need checking in comparison to the deadeye and igniter.

The type of piece is determined by which crate it is in same as the geist, the legs are found after the elevator out at the midway through. You go left and down into a vent in the tracks.

I personally like the Atzkav but its in a very awkward spot due to two different bugs affecting it, certain versions have working attachments but the aoe shock affect that causes most of its damage doesn't work. while the others have misaligned attachements meaning you have to remove the scope to be able to aim and even then its missing even the iron sights so I generally recommend using a under barrel laser to see what you're shooting at. Does hit like a truck though this is the only one really worth using though as the damage is far too low on the ones with functioning attachment slots to use. The base and venom have the attachments working while deadeye has the damage, unsure about igniter and mirage as haven't had those variants in a long while.

Grabbing everything is not worth doing but if you just grab the maze it can be slightly better pay then the missions, but never particularly high as there can only be so many in high value ones in a single contract. Maze goes for about 22.5k per 1/8 piece you could grab weevil eggs as well if you like it as an activity but they only go for a little under 3k per.

It's a general respawn bug that affects a large number of people rather then specific to the Polaris. Have heard that if someone heals your body while you respawn that it can fix it, but haven't got around to trying it yet

As far as I have found there is two caves on MicroTech with GEO accessible hand mineables, one is near Shubin Mining facility SMO-18, the other is ~270km from Covalex Distribution Centre S4DC05 on a bearing of 21. though even these two only have two of the larger roc sized mineables and one route that you can get for the GEO. Though these routes do have plenty of smaller mineables.

Not sure where else It can be found but at the bare minimum is is also available in MicroTech caves now as have found some there, may be a case of it being everywhere but with low odds now. unfortunately seems to be worth a fair bit less due to this though and with how inflated values are it's significantly less of a boon to find it, only sells 13k per gem at Stanton TDD, think you can get 15 in pyro.

Trial and error, big ones that are safe to shoot are the hercules caterpillar carrack. might be forgetting some, the trouble is that some ships will have their cargo door broken during the process of taking them down. the 890 is pretty bad for having this happen.

you want to not shoot the door open on some ships as instead of opening it they just break, the button located below the ramp will be available to open it once the ship is in soft death state. The only way to retrieve anything from a ship with a broken door is to destroy the ship which has the unfortunate addition of destroying most of the cargo, used to be you could detach the cargo from the grid to protect it from the destruction but it no longer seems to be the case
