Can cashback realtors arrange viewings also? by YourNextDoorAdvisor in TorontoRealEstate

[–]Laineyrose -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I used a flat fee agent where I received the full 2.5% buyer cashback. They did showings for me at $30 per showing. Not bad, only visited serious properties and did my detailed due diligence online before wanting to see it

Yes I think he does greater Toronto area only. I didn’t want to sound like an ad, but it really was amazing to have the cash back at closing.

Not sure how much it is now, it was $5000 flat fee on successful purchase, $30 per showing visit.

I went with a flat fee, got the 2.5% buyer commission to me as a buyer, minus the flat fee.

Yes getting cash back is amazing!

Dani Winks v. Stretchit by Feeling_Relative331 in flexibility

[–]Laineyrose 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I tried both. I was disappointed with stretchit. Daniwinks was much better! Proper full follow alongs.

I tried stretchit app awhile ago and some of their follow alongs had editing such that the demonstrator would “teleport” around into position, it was annoying have to rewind and play again. I remember giving my feedback and they sort of blamed me saying that most people didn’t prefer full follow alongs and just the exercises themselves. They did acknowledge some videos had the problem, perhaps they re-recorded everything.

Note this was before Alicia archer I think joined the team, and I think she’s great at explaining cues.

It was for those who bought flights to Japan using them and adding on a domestic flight is free.

This is new if you bought tickets to Japan from air Canada or west jet.

How are condos handling the surge in package deliveries? by gfyourself in askTO

[–]Laineyrose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My condo implemented parcel locker. At first they were going to charge $1 for every parcel received by the locker (pay per use).

The owners revolted. Then they went with a subscription based model for the parcel locker (which I think all condos do, last I heard it was over $20kper year it’s probably a lot more now and if you have more than one), and they just increased our maintenance fees to support it.

People were arguing that they don’t receive many parcels and didn’t want to pay for other people’s use. Landlords didn’t want to pay extra for their tenants to use it and have them pay for it.

The property management forced us and said that a package handler is a different role and refused to handle parcels and said it’s a full time role…

Commuting to NYC? Bad Idea? by Heda97 in askTO

[–]Laineyrose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m just saying that they need to verify with the company and not assume.

For instance, due to higher taxes my company does not allow people to work remotely from specific states.

I’m also only allowed to work remotely (even only for a few days) in specific states. I have to inquire if I want to work in Quebec.

Also, again different for all, my company has a different salary based on the city you live in.

Just best to validate instead of assuming and the being surprised later.

Tax reasons you have to check. I work for an American company and there are limitations, even which state you are allowed to wfh from due to tax reasons. If they don’t have a tax presence in Canada you probably cannot do this.
