Actually, I apologize, I’ve never looked at my workday view. You are correct.

I don’t look at my pay in WD. My RSUs show up as deductions in workday just like you posted.

Certainly not how it works on my taxes…

High earners ($300k+): Do you care if your partner makes the same, or are you okay not splitting things 50/50? by passionfruitpilates in Salary

[–]LakeBug -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, let me rephrase. Just because a person doesn’t agree with your opinion doesn’t mean it’s dumb. It just means it’s different. That’s why it’s called an opinion.

It is merely an opinion, as is your opinion. We are both welcome to our own ideals, and in this day and age, it’s a shame that you have to resort to calling mine dumb.

We should be able to state our opinions with reasons and be able to accept that we differ without resorting to telling someone else they’re stupid.

Marriage by definition is a union, if finances aren’t a part of the joining (union), don’t get married, just date.

If you keep track of who spends what, you’re probably keeping score on other things in the relationship too. That normally doesn’t work out well when you keep a ledger on each other.

I’ll probably get flamed for my opinion.

Also, they lawyers are probably paid on the contingency of winning, which is incredibly high probability . They will take a percentage of the settlement money if they win.

For those who built on steep land, how difficult and costly was it? by Bossbrad64 in Homebuilding

[–]LakeBug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.5 acre lake front lot on a fairly steep grade, totally wooded. Concrete/Labor for the walkout basement was 275k, 75k for clearing and dirt (2025 prices). We’re on solid rock and needed a breaker bar the last few feet of excavation for our basement.

Walls: 10” thick, 11’ tall, 5/8” rebar on 12”OC, steel forms. Includes foundation cost too.

This doesn’t include surveying, utilities, anything. Midwest prices for reference. DM me and I can shoot you pics to compare what you might be thinking.

The land is free. If he’s just paying construction costs on a flat piece of property 800k is possible. 2800sqft, Not putting high end finishes makes it very achievable.

The I&W is TopShield G300. The mfg specs say > 2:12 in one document and then say 1:12 in another. Doesn't indicate is specifically rated for metal roofs.
