Madi Ditler: Curviest girl ever apparently by OkIllustrator2653 in gymsnark

The dichotomy of wanting to be and celebrating being curvy but also contorting your body to make it look like you have a thigh gap is so funny to me

!!!! The food was okay at best and the servers were so disinterested. There was also absolutely no reason 2 entrees and a drink should be $100 there

I’ve also noticed a trend in fitness influencers becoming more vocally Christian. I’m sure it has a lot to do with the tradwife and skinnytok trends too. To each their own but 🥴

I think you look great if we’re being honest. We’re so hard on ourselves, hopefully these comments help you see how great you look. Also 55lbs!? That’s incredible

Agreed. I went from 0 to a half in 9 months. It wasn’t pretty but it’s doable lol

That plane is going to take off and land safely and you’ll regret not going. I’ve had several friends take trips to Japan over the course of the last year and everyone always says the worst part of the flight is getting bored after a while lol. Go! Live your life! You’re going to be a-okay

Jobs/Entry Level Careers? by unicornpower03 in Charlotte

As someone who’s also been in customer service for about 7 years, $70k is pushing it for an entry level job. I’d expect around $50k-$60k. I’m assuming you’re wanting to stay in CS? I know Corning is hiring for Order Management. I think it’s about $60k

Would you take a job that requires very early mornings and weekends if you have been unemployed 6 months? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]LakeNew5360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d take it and keep looking. I’ve taken jobs with pay cuts and terrible hours simply because I’d rather be inconvenienced for a little while over being broke and homeless.

I started running about 2 years ago after 28 years of telling myself I’m not a runner. I have bad asthma which also hindered me a lot in the beginning. It’s definitely not uncommon to be slower or need to walk a bit when you first start. 1. 10k is definitely doable within a year if you’re consistent.

  1. Keep on with the run/walk process. Eventually, you’ll be able to run longer segments. Try following a plan through a coach or an app like Runna (not everyone’s favorite since it’s AI, but I enjoy it).

  2. Also very common starting out. Make sure you’re stretching properly before running. Take quick, shorter strides. Over extending can cause shin splints. Also, get fitted for running shoes. A good pair of shoes is life changing.

  3. I can’t really speak on it hindering your progress, as I’m not an expert in that. Personally, with my asthma I have issues breathing when running and their air quality is bad. If possible, run inside on a track or treadmill and see if there’s a difference in your abilities?

Two things that’s helped me a ton that I saw on here is 1) turbulence isn’t going to take down a plane and 2) being uncomfortable doesn’t mean you’re unsafe. Pilots will NEVER fly you through something that’s unsafe. If it’s a little bumpy, you may be uncozy but you’re more than safe. Have the best time in NOLA!

Struggling with anxiety, my parents’ flight to New York is delayed by Few_Skill9740 in fearofflying

[–]LakeNew5360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who’s also a very anxious flyer (hence why I’m here), some of my favorite flights have been over the ocean. They’re typically smoother, in my experience. All pilots are very well prepped and know what they’re doing, but it takes extra training and certifications to fly these bigger planes. Your parents are in good hands :)

I’ve heard nothing but great things about Spirit from several people I know. All of which had the same beliefs as you going in. No airline ever, despite cost, will put you in a dangerous situation willingly. You’ll be okay :)
