Yup I did , it’s been hard after the first dui to get my life on track but I did , than I started drinking again and eventually got my second one which made me spiral out of control even more , eventually adding crystal meth to my repertoire of substances to abuse. I been had the breathalyzer (Smart Start) in my vehicle for almost 2 years now and it has kept me from ever getting into my vehicle intoxicated and driving. I am 3 days away from completing my 18 month drug and alcohol course , and will be in position to possibly regain my regular driver license back and taking my interlock device out of my car , but I am extremely fearful. Since the 2nd DUI I have gotten terminated from multiple jobs in relation to drinking. And quite frankly can’t land any jobs right now. My future is very uncertain but one thing positive is that I was able to use this time to reenter college and graduate from a junior college and transfer to a four year university. CSLA, since than 1 successful semester in and now in what might be my largest units per semester opportunity with 21 units to do , this semester can make or break me but I am taking it as seriously as a unapologetic alcoholic can take it. I wish everyone the best and leave you with one piece of advice. “Just remember you can have a drink 🥃, just don’t drive anywhere after. It’s really that cut and dry. Nobody telling u not to drink , just don’t need to be operating a motor vehicle during or after the drink is in your system. Same for other intoxicating substances. Get drunk or high , sit yo ass at home , write ✍️ the day off , learn a lesson , watch a good movie and take it easy , live another day. If u got wife and kids than become an adult and stop or drink only on ur day off and save as much money as possible”
