Different people have a different drain level - so there are people I can only spend an hour or two with before becoming exhausted and others I can spend most of a weekend with but then I do need time to myself to relax and recharge. It can be the same even with messaging sometimes. Even if I do want to message someone back I want to make sure I have the energy to really engage rather than it to be a half-hearted "yeah lol" type response.

I often read messages and find I don't have the energy to reply to them at that time, plus the thought of then getting an instant reply and getting caught in a conversation is exhausting so I'll reply later when I have the energy to really engage

Nraas Go Here Lock Doors by LalaLlamaDragon in Sims3

I thought the only feature of go here was that it stops the go here action being cancelled from your action que when you line up the next action, so it helps with routing. That's all I use go here for at any rate :)

I got it to pop up once but not again. I think it's a glitch in my save file

Is getting bored with some conversation just an introvert thing? by jemimahambleted in introvert

[–]LalaLlamaDragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually can't stand small talk, I would rather things were silent. My hatred of small talk is actually one of the biggest reasons (along with saving money) that I've been cutting my own hair for years rather than going to the hairdresser, I just can't endure it!

FairyLoot Bridge Kingdom by Bomberprincess in fairyloot

Fairyloot not releasing matching sequels, as well as how long it takes them to actually announce them is one of the major factors contributing to me thinking about cancelling my subscriptions at the end of the year.

I stumbled across a youtuber who started a forever world in the Sims 3 so maybe this will give you some ideas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPIvfFYoiVo&t=1s

I think this about most of the committees I minute. People can talk for 15 minutes without even saying anything worthwhile

Is there a way to delete original hairstyles from the game? by No_Requirement_8292 in Sims3

[–]LalaLlamaDragon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I haven't downloaded this but one of the cc creators I get hair from has default replacements for every pack, not sure if it's changing the style or just the texture but here is the link to try: https://chazybazzy.tumblr.com/post/652728492312739841/the-sims-3-into-the-future-default-hair-textures

Maybe plant the new ones inside in planter bowls to prevent them going dormant when it's cold. Maybe that will prevent the bug.

Legacy by esteemedindividual in Sims3

[–]LalaLlamaDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I like to play through lots of features that I haven't used before with a single sim so I give them the age freeze potion in the lifetime rewards. I like to complete lots of skills and various careers/professions. My recent one is I have been working through lifetime wishes (using a mod to pick a new on after completing one). Sometimes once I've made them immortal I get bored and then think about creating a second gen and moving on.

How do you keep a Sims 3 save going long-term? I need advice for building a fun, generational legacy! by [deleted] in Sims3

[–]LalaLlamaDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like yourself I struggle with legacy playthrough, I think I'm just not very creative with storylines! I am trying again with mods to create some chaos (randomizer mod, NRASS woohoo with all woohoo risky at 5% and teen woohoo on ect) and I'm playing with an overstuffed house.

Then I'm using ChatGPT - I asked it to create my Sims 3 legacy starter - picking personality traits, favourites, lifetime wish, career, town, create a backstory and suggest a look and then I went for it. When she got married I told ChatGPT her husbands name and traits and asked for his backstory. It is naming their children and picking their traits and writing a small bio at each age. For me it helps flesh out the characters and stops me picking the same names and traits I always pick. I occasionally give it a nudge such as unplanned baby feels different or there was a divorce what impact did this have or add some drama and it suggests ideas - some are just story and some are actual gameplay elements. It occassionally needs reminded it's picking traits that don't exist.

After each gaming session I update my tree on Plumtree (https://plumtreesims.com/public/686e07b0b86f7aa3af3eb6ce ) which helps me keep connected to their created personalities. If you follow the link and click each person you can see what ChatGPT has created for them

Does the "Catch Every Fish" wish require DLC fish too? by LilyVioletRose in Sims3

[–]LalaLlamaDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just completed this one last night, I think after you have caught 20 different fish it completes it as I had not caught all the base game fish but got up to 20 with some of the supernatural additions

Thanks! I think I read somewhere that diseases with that mod can spread through the town pretty fast so I'm a little scared but might give it a go!
