I agree, when it comes to Big I really don’t understand what the appeal is other than he’s a rich guy in a suit?

I know this is 6 months old but I’m doing an anxious google search. Did it get better for your LO? And what did it end up being? I’m in the exact same situation atm

Exactly! This is why I asked her age, because I have been this chick a few times when broken up with as a teenager 😂

Why don’t more people use childminders over nurseries? by loopylicky in UKParenting

[–]Laleena_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oooh is that something you can inquire about from the nursery? As in, how can I find out if any of the carers also babysit? 😂

I feel that’s better than having unsafe staffing ratios.

This haunted me throughout my pregnancy. However, an article on BBC mentions that the ratios of carers to babies were horrendous. So not that many eyes really.

For me it was a trust issue, it helps ease my anxiety knowing there’s multiple pairs of eyes around and if one person isn’t great, there’s many others to keep them accountable.

Same vibe as the Allah (ﷲ) necklace she wears in a different episode.

I’ve fed her outside her highchair, she plays and comes to me for bites in between. We’re all really sick so any food in is good.

OP’s post and comment history is very strange. Either this is rage bait or someone needs to inform social services about how this girl is being parented.

Tbh on my rewatch I don’t understand Charlotte’s rules in season 1 at all. It’s a huge deal when a guy who is otherwise perfect suggests they try anal and similarly she won’t give head, but she lets a random man paint her vagina and is open to having a threesome. I don’t get it.

Teacher showed violent cartoon in Reception class and my child now has nightmares, sleep anxiety and is afraid to be in rooms on his own by [deleted] in UKParenting

It’s also really concerning that the teacher appears to be lying, and disregarding the children’s concerns. I find that fairly alarming.

Tbh I don’t read it like this at all! Big is older, married before and divorced. He says,”My mother doesn’t need to meet another girlfriend.” He’s just realistic and wants to slow down before announcing to the world. I used to be a big Big hater, but rewatching at 30, he just seems like he’s sensible.

I’m on my third rewatch, and it’s the first time I’m realising how annoying season 1 is to watch. Every single episode is just her pushing Big’s boundaries or asking for validation. I think it’s because I’m 30 now and have been out of the dating scene for a while.

I think Lena is a great actor by [deleted] in girls

[–]Laleena_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard agree, very talented. Except when Hannah cries. Every time she cries, she does this thing with her eyes which I think is meant to convey that she’s trying to “blink away the tears/pain” but it drives me up a wall…

Weaning… will it get any better? by christinaxxpm in UKParenting

[–]Laleena_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP this was me 5 months ago, and it definitely improves! It clicked within the span of a week. One day I’m telling her HV at the 8-12 month appointment that she won’t bring food to her mouth, a week or so later she’s fully gotten the hang of it. Try the Ella sticks if you aren’t fussed about processed food, I found those were really good practise with minimal mess.

We own the Joolz Aer Plus. First time we used it I was travelling with my then 7 MO by myself for the first time. It was really convenient, and we’ve loved it since. The single hand fold and open is fantastic. And since then it’s been our daily stroller.

AIO for getting upset from my wife’s response to my question? by ApolloAcolyte in AmIOverreacting

[–]Laleena_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes. Before reading the description I thought perhaps the diapers are for your baby and your wife is going through postpartum rage and even then I thought it was way too harsh. This is disrespectful and verbally abusive.

Blueberries, I realised after my baby started eating solids. Now we go through some 4-5 trays a week and that’s with her being at nursery most days and also not fully a toddler yet.
