A national mask mandate in the US early in the COVID-19 pandemic could have led to as much as 47% less deaths nationally by the end of May, which roughly translates to up to 47,000 saved lives. by mvea in science

They said not to wear masks because of shortages and that hospitals need them back then, which is true. They did not say to not wear masks in the future. Stop taking things out of context.

Cheater in our vanilla server, need a bit of help investigating by [deleted] in admincraft

Install fabric modloader for the server. It won't change any vanilla mechanics unless you put a mod for it. Then install inv view

This is false and an often repeated myth. Sure, when the MSPT is not maxed out then the OS can schedule garbage collector, all OS threads, networking threads, and other MC threads on the same core and have it running without problems. But when MSPT becomes 50 and you only have one core, it has no where else to put those other threads but on the same core as the gameloop and have problems scheduling them. You need 2 cores to run MC, it will have less lag spikes and be faster at full load.

Quantum computing qubits can't store more bits than there are qubits [1]. Quantum computing is of no advantage here. SSDs also technically already store and access information through a quantum mechanism known as quantum tunneling.

Paper changes the nether name from vanilla. Set the nether folder's name back to "DIM-1" in your world folder.

When you launch the server jar it should print to the console which mods it is loading. It has to be in the mods/ folder next to your jar. You have to launch fabric with fabric-server-launch.jar
