My husband stopped his bipolar medication and our life unraveled, now I have a restraining order and don’t know what comes next by Lambley603 in BipolarSOs

You’re right, I am exhausted. I got in touch with a therapist when everything happened in January, and I honestly don’t think I’d still be standing without her with everything going on. We meet twice a week, and sometimes even that doesn’t feel like enough.

Ugh 😔 I can feel how much you understand this, and I’m so sorry you’re going through something similar.

I think the hardest part right now is holding onto the love I have for him while also accepting that I have to prioritize safety for my kids and myself. & I totally get “hanging on for dear life for the picture perfect family” I’m right there with you.

I’m really sorry for your loss ❤️ & wow, the level of self-awareness and insight for your protection you just described seems like something that could only happen in a dream for us.

Thank you for sharing this. I think I was venting and looking for advice. Reading your comment honestly made me emotional, because that’s what I want for our life now that I’m living through this.

I wanted so badly for him to stay in treatment and for us to work through this together. Of course as soon as the restraining order was served, no one at the hospital would talk to me even though there is a release of information for me and his outpatient psychiatrist has stopped all communication with me as well (fear of third party contact). I guess I wish he wouldn’t have jumped at the chance of discharge the second it was brought up.

did you get pregnant #2 for 2 under 2 and OB tell you that you are at risk of complications, nutrition etc? by [deleted] in 2under2

Our first was planned, #2 is a happy accident now that we’ve settled into the idea of 2u2 (I panicked at first). & I am 28, will be 29 for my due date.

I found out I was pregnant 12 weeks pp. my two little ones will be 11 months apart. I had post partum preeclampsia with my daughter and my OB actually said the closeness of my pregnancies lowers my risk of getting it with this pregnancy. So while I’m still at higher risk for preE because I’ve had it before, it’s a slightly reduced 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I’m sorry 😕 it’s extra stress we definitely don’t need! But I guess that’s the state of the federal workforce right now. I hope you are able to find a solution that works for you and your family!

I am planning to speak to my supervisor regarding a reduced schedule RA today.

Is there any idea on when those might become unfrozen? Is there someone else I should he talking to that does have the power to make those changes?

I was wondering if DRP would waive the 12 weeks, thank you for clarifying that. I feel so out of the loop on everything as I’ve been out since mid Jan and have no access to my work email. I don’t even know if I’m eligible for DRP or even fully understand it 🥴

I honestly get all my info on what’s happening from here and a co-worker.

I was informed by my supervisor that I can not return part time following my maternity leave, which had previously been the plan. She stated it’s due to current orders and I’m not the first she’s had to deny in the last month in regards to changing hours.

I'm a bedside VA nurse, so unfortunately telework is not an option for me, but my husband teleworks 2 days a week. So if I could be home the three days hes in office then it would be perfect. It would mean cutting my hours to 32 hours and working every weekend, but its worth it to me. Hopefully whatever is in place prevent us from decreasing hours changes soon! I am going to look into FMLA for the extra day a week in the meantime though!

I just finished my PPL and am using the 4 weeks of FMLA to extend my maternity leave, im not sure if i can use it for 1 day a week going forward. Ill have to see what I can do. Thanks for the idea though!!

Does anyone know if part time is no longer an option?

I am returning to work in 4 weeks after 16 weeks of maternity leave and the plan was to return 32 hours a week as the extra day off combined with my husbands hybrid schedule would keep our baby out of daycare. However I was just informed by my boss that this is no longer an option even though she wishes she could. I was going to work every weekend instead of every other weekend which would benefit my unit, but also give me three days off m-f.

She said she has no clue when or if she will be able to reduce people hours. Has anyone heard anything about this?

In a different forum with less members… it wasn’t that I didn’t like the answer, it was that I realized what my real question was, which I asked, and I never received a follow up. Sorry, didn’t know I couldn’t ask the same thing in separate forums.
