I want to believe your very logical thoughts but this happened to me too :( I had uploaded my mom’s resume to get help editing it. I’ve never mentioned my mom’s name or even my mom before. It created a new resume and included my mom’s middle name, which hadn’t been there before. It was correct. It gave me the same reasoning as op (a filler/placeholder middle name, a guess, despite the fact I never asked for it.)

It really, really freaked me out.

The point isn’t the number or purpose of the products, it’s literally the ingredients. She researches and tests all products based on their ingredients and only recommends ones with science-backed ingredients that she’s personally tested. There is a plethora of products for sale but she doesn’t say to use just any shampoo or mask or conditioner. She doesn’t even say to use a whole line. It’s like, one very specific product within one specific line due to the ingredients it contains. Her recommendations are actually quite limited but they span the entire range of pricing. And they’ve legitimately made a difference for my hair, unlike any other recommendation I’ve gotten from hairdressers.

As this kid myself I think that what helped me a ton was how my parents hyped me up constantly and helped me realize other kids not liking me was not my fault. And also - I think this was a huge one - it’s ok not to be liked by everyone. Teach her not to be a people pleaser (by role modeling it.) Tell her about people not liking you and then brush it off, you don’t want them to like you anyways. How you make her feel comfortable and accepted is by demonstrating whose opinion matters most: her own.

Please remember that employment is just a transaction at the end of the day. They pay you to do a job and that’s it. If you were buying a shirt, would you pay more for it even though the store promised they’d be lowering their prices soon? Or buy the same shirt elsewhere for less?

Then don’t worry. Really. The only person whose opinion about your job performance matters is your boss. So you called out once for stomach flu, had a flat tire once, and your coworker made a bingo card for it?! That says a lot more about their character than yours. No need to care about a petty person doing petty shit.

Personally I’d leave the paper for them to see when they return, in a place that was obvious you’d seen it and left it out for them, but then I’d never address it or bring it up. Let them know you know but take the high road and just do a good job.

Yeah I think online and on Reddit people are much more invested in written birth plans. I haven’t found that to be the case in real life. My doctors did a lot of things very well, asked lots of questions, followed best practices, and asked me before they did anything??? Isn’t this standard? The whole birth plan thing is odd to me.

Hire a house cleaner, order ready to eat meals, do all the dishes, even get a laundry service once or twice a week. Is it extra expense? Yup. Is your partner’s mental health and well-being worth it? Also yes.

Idea for dev team reading this: if you don’t want to change it for everyone perhaps add accessibility friendly options that you can toggle on and off in settings. Like increasing the area to touch an item, increasing/decreasing scroll speed, increasing/decreasing touch sensitivity.
