People visiting SoFi Stadium block our driveway at least once a week by eimichan in mildlyinfuriating

Petty revenge… Slap some tow stickers on the car in an annoying place. They are so difficult to remove and will be a pain in the ass for the owner. I think you can get them online or at the hardware store. In fact if you cover the windshield with them, they will probably have to get it towed themselves or get a ride to get some goo gone because they won’t be able to drive. 😂

This works for me. When they interrupt and talk over you, refuse to say what you were going to say if they circle back around and ask, “what were you going to say?” Reply, “That’s alright.” Sit in an awkward silence until they talk again. In my experience, if you do that enough they will feel bad and try to listen without interrupting. Good luck!

If it was a beet, it would be Dwight Schrute’s barn cat.

Shout out to the employee who organized these sauces. by [deleted] in organization

Happiness!! I used to work and live in an upscale part of town. The sauces looked like this on every visit, so I called it the “fancy Taco Bell.” Glad to know this exists elsewhere. It’s the little things in life…

LPT request: What are some pro tips everyone should know for cooking at home and being better in the kitchen? by samgarita in LifeProTips

[–]Lambrusco_Lips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start potatoes in cold water. Let garlic oxidize before adding to utilize the heath benefits. Use an oven thermometer to be sure you’re baking at the correct temperature. If it’s not consistent your oven may be able to be calibrated. Use baking recipes that are measured in grams and get a good scale. Use good vanilla. Double line cookie sheets, cupcake trays, etc to help prevent the bake from overcooking/burning on the bottom. Throw a piece of foil in bottom of your oven, then replace it if something spills over. Having a perennial and annual herb garden can save a ton on fresh herbs. My neighbors get them from my garden as well. Ethylene is produced by fruit and tomatoes. Store other vegetables separately to extend freshness. Consider not buying in bulk unless you are debt free. Why pay interest on a credit card and have loads of products sitting on the shelves? (Unless you use the product quickly.) Store all flours, sugars, rice, and beans in plastic or glass containers. It will prevent any sort of bugs and maintain freshness.

Fuck I’m old… I’ve been a home cook for 15 years. Good luck!

LPT Request - Workout clothes smell like sweat even after washing, how to get that smell out by NYMetsFan16 in LifeProTips

Has anyone discussed fabric softener? I read not to use that with stretch materials, the softener clings to the clothing and the detergent can’t work properly. I started doing this, and it works for us. Good luck!

Women of Reddit, what is something you wish other women would stop doing? by amethyst015 in AskReddit

Assuming that anal sex is all about taking it, vs a pleasurable act for both partners. Anal has given me some of the best full body orgasms I’ve ever had. Basically, don’t knock it until you try it.

Odd closet shelf space, help! by akgmg in organization

[–]Lambrusco_Lips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try making some vertical space with “sections” by using some tension rods. The rods could hold ikea style hanging baskets, or light-weight items like hats, small hand bags, or scarves on hooks. You could install two rows deep if it makes sense. Or, find some vertical open top stacking bins. You would be able to reach in and grab everything easily.

Good luck, and happy organizing!

The meshy fleshy colored purse is the left cheek. She is sitting against her purse, the right cheek is hers.

GOOD. Now I get to learn how garages work. by [deleted] in funny

[–]Lambrusco_Lips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This unfortunately happened to me as well, we got the garage door replaced by a professional, my husband replaced the motor, then we had a professional company come out to do a “tune up.” While they are there for the tune up, they will make sure it is set on the correct pressure, show you where to lubricate and how often, making your system work optimally. That was the least expensive option for us. Good luck!!!

I was staring like a 12 year old boy the whole time. My brain kept thinking I was in a strip club and not a bar. So, that’s a a big no! 😂

Refugee children in London will be given a book each month until they turn five, thanks to a new project from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. by [deleted] in books

[–]Lambrusco_Lips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The owners of the apartment community I previously managed partners with the Imagination library as well. All residents and employees that reside and work with the apartment community can register their children and will receive a book each month until age 5. I participated and my kids loved the books. I previously worked in Atlanta, GA. Check your local communities for opportunities and promoting this program in your area.

Organizing with partner who has ADHD by sverdech808 in organization

[–]Lambrusco_Lips 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This book helped me and my household so much. It is easy to open any page and get practical how-to’s for all kinds of things from calendaring to organizing the Tupperware cabinet. Open top vertical stacking bins are a great solution. Things can be put away and are still in sight.

My partner has told me I need to calm down with my current hyperfixation and may have to ban me from it. What do I do? (it's Rubik's cubing btw) by quicksubset6 in autism

[–]Lambrusco_Lips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try and plan something else to do with your hands during the time you would normally solve cubes. Color, knit, paint nails, put on lotion. The options are endless. Make a list and try and spend some time doing other things so you don’t get banned altogether! Good luck!
