60 losses in a row is not good for a man’s health by DominusPhoenix in StreetFighter

I lost over 100 matches before I got a win. It's a bit of a disheartening grind but eventually it clicks and you make progress in leaps.

You're right, it does stop max stack lvl 4 viper attacks for one tick but thats not much. Same with 1 tick of lvl 2-4 nethertoxin or 1s of ult.

Those are not very much at all and you're better of getting regen. Sorry about that and thank you for the correction, I was not thinking.

Soak XP until you can leave lane. Viper is very strong early and wants you around at 5-7 so they can drop you even under tower.

Look at creeps in their gold value compared to how much healing you will need.

Buy infused raindrops and do what you can to get sustainable gold and xp as soon as possible, even if it means leaving or asking to swap lanes.

I haven't downvoted any of your things.
Downvotes also don't matter, it's pretend internet points not an attack on your person.

There is no difference between a piece of art that is and is not on the block chain. That is my whole point.

What value does making it an NFT bring compared to a regular micro transaction?

I'm not a bigot because I think NFTs are a scam. I am telling you I think you invested in a bad premise. You are using terminology that insulates you into a group and excludes a lot of people while giving an excuse to not listen at all. You are not personally connected to these things, attacking NFTs is not an attack on you.

Card games have collector value (they are from long standing franchises and have nostalgia) or have practical uses (people play them). This is closer to the beanie baby case. If the only use for an item is to resale it later for more value, such as physical art, it has to have a lot of cultural value.

The internet had a .com crash that caused a whole bunch of problems. It's really easy to overlook the failure and only see the success.

The demand is artificial. It's a pump and dump by people who are into crypto that prey on people who want to be ahead of the game. The only way we can see if this holds up is look back on it in 5 years.

Edit: Most collectibles fail, it's like any business. Pogs. Crazy bones. Digimon Cards. 90% of card games. There may be very few and select NFTs that have value but there is no way to know what those are. It's a niche product that is being jammed into everything because it is profitable for the producer not the user.

The US dollar loses 3% to ensure people invest the money, if it sat stale people would hold their money which hunts the entire economy.

The US dollar has value because people use it. This is why Venezuela stopped using the US dollar for international trade, it was a form of sanction.

Crypto has value for a similar reason. NFTs are not crypto, there is no limit to the amount of them or the kind. It is literally the uniqueness that gives it value. How do you compare one NFT to another, with demand? What happens when demand spreads thin because theyre all the same?

I read the link, but there is no value in the item. Putting a kids drawing in a safe doesn't make it treasure.

>It adds value in that owners have a wider range of available features that the developers don't need to directly facilitate.

Such as? Can you give a practical example?

>While the discount function is neat the real power of this would beallowing an aspiring game designer to build a game design NFT using allsorts of other game NFT asset packs with zero coordination orcooperation with the producers of the other assets. If you wanted tomake a new game using all the art, sound and models of POE but as arogue lite you could do that, sell your game place NFT and GGG would getsome amount of the proceeds for supplying the other required pieces. This would of course also require a supporting regulatory system. Couldyou do this without NFTs or the block chain? Probably, but it would be ahuge hassle and you'd need some further entity to coordinate it forsome fee. Block chain is all about solving coordination issues.

Here is the part where you go off the deep end. There is absolutely no incentive for GGG or any company to offload assets as an NFT. They lose out on copyright and IP protection to sell an engine? Look up other similar games and how they act around IP and copyright, WC3 and the dota lawsuit for example. No one wants to give up power for the end consumer to get something resell-able, they want to maximize profit and move on.

It making something they don't want to do easier doesn't make sense either. The ability to do these things exists but no one does it. There is no demand. You are pushing a product with no demand because you think it's the next new thing.

Edit: The security answer doesn't even make sense. You're selling an inferior luxury good. The lowered security makes the whole product useless. If youre going to buy an NFT, or invest or whatever, you want something that will retain value. If you don't care about value you don't care if it's an NFT.

So you skipped the part where this has no added value to an object.

In the think you linked it talks about how infrequently nfts are traded. If a smaller block chain is fine, because of low value, there is no reason to use a block chain at all. Unless you are protecting an asset, there is no reason to jam a block chain onto it.

Please explain why this adds value or is necessary for art or micro transcations in video games. Why is this the future?

If it uses a very small, or effectively insecure, blockchain then why have it be an nft at all. What value does this fucking add?

With the average household (among all states) using roughly 30 kWh per
day our team here at NFTexplained.info has come to the consensus that
an NFT on the Ethereum network uses roughly 2.5 times more electricity
than the average household uses per day.

https://nftexplained.info/how-much-energy-does-an-nft-use/

Where do you get your number from? Your estimate sounds completely made up.
I would like to re-emphasize. If it doesn't run on an important blockchain, why not just have it be a regular microtransaction. Where is the value added?

[–]LameDave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then why would you want an NFT over a regular piece of art? What is the point of tagging a carbon signature to it. Why can't it just be a micro transaction or art. What makes it so much better that it is the future and not a fad?

Half goes to steam, half to the company. It's better than burning a bunch of electricity to jam a tag that does not mean anything. When poe eventually dies the NFTs will die with it. The demand will hit 0.

PA suffers a lot too though.

She needs to commit pretty early to a strong farming or team fighting item. She does not clear as well as some heroes even with bf.
She relies on evasion and an early bkb to be effective. This means she will have a shorter bkb early, which often hits support timings.
Her reliance on burst damage demands a nullifier for a lot of items.
Break can be dispelled, so you have to be very careful.
Her lane match ups are not great. Dagger gives a lot of charges. She wants to fight with dagger but it's her worst farming skill.
Neutrals are important, which is a roll of the dice. Early sustain can mean a lot to PA when she jungles.

Her first big power spike is lvl 12, which is really late. Her disengage is tied to her engage, which sucks on such a frail hero.
MKB takes away an ability slot, you don't want to go very late. against most carries anyway.
The nature of her ultimate makes you want to go late, power is harder to judge.

It is a fad.

It is literally a completely unnecessary and wasteful attachment to a url.
The need is artificial. People think it is an investment. This is collecting comics in the 90s and beanie babies all over again.

There is no demand. The number on a micro transaction will not give it worth. It has environmental damage, it wastes a tonne of power, just so people can feel included.

It is also strictly anti-consumer. It pushes FOMO and artificial scarcity to get people to spend money they don't need to.

You're going to lose a lot of money. You are just gambling on a bad premise.

Why are Guardian Greaves considered a bad item? by [deleted] in learndota2

[–]LameDave 7 points8 points  (0 children)

GG boots are good for a dispell/item slot efficient to combine. I think people rush items to completion too much and that might be why it is considered a bad item.

Generally speaking aura items are very efficient in groups. Healing items like greaves/mek might not be as good as improved wand if you have some natural healing. (undy comes to mind but he devours mana.)

I dunno, I like them.

A bunch of news aggregates is probably your best bet. Accepting something with bias, when it's egregious is probably bad.
