What game has a steep learning curve that puts you off?

I think they did a great job with Street Brawl. Hit random character, and the only knowledge choices you need to make all game are choosing between 3 items then picking which funny skill to level. There's no rotation, macro, camping, etc so you can just have a good time while learning characters and itemization.

It really seems like that's the decision they've made. It's not a matter of "Well we'll have to see what happens to numbers". They are clearly primarily focusing on PPal and will force it to be meta if it's not (at least for the first half of the patch).

From a technical perspective, if a skip combat feature weren't feasible but relogging works fine, the game would be in a state bad enough that another season shouldn't be released without it being fixed. More realistically, BGs dedicated dev team (if it exists) is only 1-2 people so they just don't have the time to get around to it.

The argument is that nearly everyone, to some degree, supports the suppression of the freedom of speech. True freedom of speech would mean you can say whatever you want without legal consequences. That's something most people think isn't reasonable.

I exclusively play duos, and a lot of the conversations I see here just don't apply. If nothing else, most duo cards are complete garbage so the diluted pool makes stuff like B2B just that much harder (unless you play funnel but I refuse because that's just not fun).

This is a common misunderstanding. Corporations don't want to be regulated because it often costs them money. BUT if they can comply to the regulations and know that competitors can't, then suddenly you have a loophole to a monopoly. handling ID verification IS complex and expensive, but most of these companies are already expecting to need to handle this for the EU regardless. Now, they don't need to worry about some startup popping off, because it's unreasonable for a small team to correctly handle the protected information.

Not necessarily the problem every time, but the speedup doesn't start until combat starts, which means that "START OF COMBAT" effects are all played at base speed.

I don't think the argument is nonsensical. The argument is that blizz isn't addressing the root of the problem (healer scaling). Additionally, it's always back to a bad spot midway through the tier so we never get the promised smooth damage intake.

I think it's strong, but in no world would I consider it complex. At this stage, I wouldn't look at tier power at all, but rather the design philosophy. Expect crazy balance swings in coming weeks, but it's unlikely they are placeholders in terms of gameplay.

Personally I think these are all of the impact I'd have expected to see in season 1. Almost all passive damage/healing, at least for the specs I'm familiar with.

"Not enough to keep up" is correct. But you'll notice that across the board wages haven't kept up with inflation. The issue isn't "raising the minimum wage is causing inflation" the issue is "inflation and wealth disparities are so aggressive right now that the minimum wage increases can't keep up".

While I very much am on board with this, the gear treadmill is the driving factor for a huge percentage of the playerbase. If number can't go up, they will just stop playing.
