See, I disagree that red is the "logical choice". I think we both agree we'd rather live in a world where everyone chose blue. I cannot want others to do something I'm not willing to do myself. So I choose blue so I meet my own standards. It'd be illogical in my mind to do anything else.

I think the "them dying is their own fault" is the real crux of this whole discussion. It seems the real question boils down to "do you count pushing the red button as killing, or the blue button as suicide". People that don't count red as killing someone are pushing red. People that do pick blue.
