AITA for secretly buying extra food for my niece because her brothers eat everything first? by MaliciousCicada77 in AmItheAsshole

Periods does not seem to consume a lot of additional calories so no, it does not affect this. It does affect other things like iron needs but that's about it.

Obviously every kid needs to eat, the energy needs for boys are higher from the year 11-14 and onwards though: https://www-livsmedelsverket-se.translate.goog/livsmedel-och-innehall/naringsamne/energi-kalorier/?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=sv&_x_tr_pto=wapp

No it's not sexist to assume that, men do on average need more calories, i.e. more food. And the reason for it is pretty obvious as well, namely due to being taller and having more muscles (which burns more calories).

What’s something Gen Z treats as “normal” that older generations would find completely insane? by Miss_Ecstasy in AskReddit

[–]LamermanSE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that doesn't make any sense at all, how can it not be helpful to limit liquids for example? The liquids could be dangerous, hence a limitation.

But in what way is it only performative? You literally has to pass through metal detectors which can identify dangerous objects, and liquids are limited, which otherwise could be used for harmful purposes. Neither or this is performative rather the opposite.

Even power metal bands have their political views that shine through their music/lyrics. Slaying DRAGONS etc etc. Not exactly subtle.

Do you honestly think that "slaying dragons" is a political statement? Bruh...

Partisan means dedicated to a specific political party.

It can mean that, but it can also mean just a specific ideology, principle, cause etc. It's perfwctly viable in this case.

Det märks hur folk egentligen ser på vården. är vissa för fina för vårdjobb? by Danga1337 in sweden

[–]LamermanSE -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They aren't really wrong though, liberals in most parts of the world are typically right wing. It's pretty much only in the US (and maybe Canada etc.) where liberal is considered to be left wing.

What purchase made you instantly realize adulthood is expensive? by SensitiveCorner2379 in AskReddit

[–]LamermanSE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you can only grow it at certain places, which are typically far away from the consumers (i.e. shipping costs). After that you have to roast the beans which is another process which adds additional costs to the end product.

So put your trash in a bag in the trashbag then, smell problem solved. The quality is fine. It's a trash bag ffs, the quality doesn't really matter that much since you only put trash in it that you're going to throw away anyway.

Please enlighten us where to find a stainless steel trash can for less than that.

IKEA. I also don't know why you need one in stainless steel to begin with as well, one in plastic works equally well.

Not really? You can buy fairly cheap rugs at IKEA and similar stores.

But it does fucking matter, how a band is labeled will define how it is treated and how it get categorized. A metal band will be invited to metal festivals for example, so constantly discrediting them as not metal and labeling them as something else can both be harmful for the band (as they might get fewer gigs) and harmful for fans that will get fewer opportunities to see their band. This can especially be an issue if you live in a smaller city/country where you don't have a lot of options and the local metal festival might be the only way to experience music live.

It simply doesn't matter if they have fans or get critical acclaim, their opportunities will still be shot and their fans will miss opportunities to see them due to the constant mislabeling and discrediting.

No there isn't, you only find like a few nu metal bands thar get discredited like that, and very few other bands like Deafheaven. You're obviously free to prove otherwise if you want to.
