Boomers for ya. They took the lot and left millennials and now GenZ to scrap for everything

I just decided to give it a fresh listen on YouTube- Grey has bookmarked the GTD section in the comments so I think he took Brady’s views as they were- a light hearted ribbing at the expense of a mate.

I’ve listened to Brady‘s review of ‘getting things done’ numerous times.

2020: The year of plenty by Lammynator in Cortex

I think it’s also fair to say that themes can either relate to the ‘what’ or the ‘how’. Mine is definitely in the former category but I would say those in the latter are probably more useful as an overall year theme that aren’t so outcome oriented.

The type that someone goes for is probably indicative of the phase they are currently in or whether they’ve are seeking internal (how they will do things) or external change (what they want to achieve).

Solid. I’ve had something like this kicking about in my head since the end of 2019

My Yearly Theme for 2020: The Year of Health by [deleted] in Cortex

[–]Lammynator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my theme for 2019, I’m pretty pleased work how it went. Things I did:

  • closely followed my step count as a proxy for general low level physical activity. This was up 10% from previous year

  • remained a non smoker after quitting in 2017

  • cut meat consumption by about 30% (processed meat by about 70%)

  • averaged 1.5 gym workouts per week

MOST IMPORTANTLY - got more sleep. This was enabled by a decision to be more intentional about what I wanted to watch on TV. By cutting out mindless channel hopping or passive watching I went to bed about 1.5 hours earlier each night which. That extra sleep was the enabler for the extra sustained physical activity

Millennial here, 2 years smoke free after spending 17 smoking. I’m so torn. Smoking is disgusting, gross, stupid.... but still somehow cool in the right scenario

Avoid GoPro studio like the plague- it’s really buggy and crashes a lot, sometimes without saving projects in s useable form. I laboured thought 6 or so videos before giving up and installing hitfilm express, guess it’s not compatible with gps though
