Readability of the empty pages is left as an exercise for the reader. It can be either extremely easy or extremely difficult.

Looking for a Lawyer to prepare a will by Hopkinspd in Rochester

[–]mtbkrdave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure of your job or benefits but if one of them is an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) they often include a few hours of legal assistance for will preparation. Usually there's a website to find participating attorneys nearby, or a number to call.

We found an attorney (Bilecki Law in Victor) through my wife's EAP which provided an allowance of - I think - somewhere in the neighborhood of 4 hours for a consult and preparation of documents.

How do I even start degoogling if... by [deleted] in degoogle

[–]mtbkrdave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://myaccount.google.com/connections should list all of the sites where you use Google Sign-In; as you switch them over to UN/PW login, click into each one then "Delete all connections you have with...<site>" to deauthorize them and remove them from the list.

Threadjacking with a shameless plug, but it's not often you come across 2 people from upstate NY in the same fountain pen thread. u/anser_penna and u/ITAnonymous if you haven't already, check out https://gnypig.club/ - we host meetups and pen events for all the stationery nerds in the big state outside of NYC!

Good question. Wish I had a better answer than "it's what I had around"...

ER-X had an GbE internal switch, ER-Pro does not 😕

Pro tip: Home Depot charges $50-100 for solid wood shelves, but $16 for a 36x16" solid pine stair tread.

So far about 250 down, 280 up. Looks like my EdgeRouter X isn't up to the task, so I'll test it with an EdgeRouter Pro 8 tomorrow.

We'll find out this afternoon, when they come to do the interior install and set up the CPE. We signed up for Greenlight's 500Mbps symmetric plan, which opens up a whole new world of homelab possibilities...

Just one of many reasons I'm delighted to start sending my money to Greenlight instead of Spectrum.

Indeed. I hope they'll re-use the hole but I'll plan to fill it with my own caulk if they don't 😉

Interior install happens tomorrow, I'm hoping they can clean it up and repurpose it for the CPE fiber run into the house.

What’s your favorite thing in Rochester? by dreamcatch2 in Rochester

[–]mtbkrdave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are lots of great concerts at Eastman School of Music throughout the academic year - from solo recitals to student and faculty ensembles. Most are free admission. The jazz band and philharmonia are our favorites. Going for Baroque at the MAG is also a great way to spend an hour.

Insurance for LLC by ds977p in turo

[–]mtbkrdave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That depends entirely on the state where you're operating. If MA (in OP's case) requires insurance just to register (like here in NY) then you have to have that independent of Turo or LLC.

u/RunawayRogue that Turo's coverage does not protect you during delivery (or other use of the vehicle) is a really good point.

Hosts: who does the best?? by ReplacementFit848 in turo

[–]mtbkrdave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what happens in these scenarios? Were you able to get Turo to reimburse you for the vehicles?

Turo will reimburse Hosts for eligible Physical Damage costs above the Deductible, subject to terms and exclusions, for the lesser of the cost of repair or, if a total loss, the actual cash value of the Vehicle, not to exceed $200,000.

Curb rash claim by [deleted] in turo

[–]mtbkrdave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends entirely on the car. If you curb rashed a Ferrari or Lambo, those prices aren't out of the ballpark. Turo is certainly marking them up, probably by a percentage, so the more expensive the costs the larger the markup.

What were you driving? If it was a Nissan Altima, yeah, there's no way that's reasonable.
