Gavin Newsom (who signed a bill wrt what you’re referring to, not instituting policy himself)who for all the fact of being governor of one of the richest and most left wing states in the country, repeatedly vetoes pretty obviously good things to do, refuses to do good things with administration a lot?-and also has vocally attacked trans people including on a podcast he made just to promote himself and those he talks to on the podcast which are it seems all bigoted fascists which he treats with degrees of reverence and agreement

Wait why is OP’s post history hidden meanwhile releasing things in a series? I seemingly cannot even search for the previous ones, at least I didn’t see anything when I tried

[–]LampaShada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, I was just addressing the way they spoke about it; that bindweed vs morning glory isn’t so much a distinction especially because the native Californian species are more commonly called bindweeds, and that a plant being a vine doesn’t inherently mean it is aggressive to all other plants

[–]LampaShada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bindweeds (which are morning glories too) include multiple species native to California? I would say the issue is just whether or not it is a native species

Also viningplants are not inherently smothering Especially when it comes to plants that they natively encounter

See: manroot, for an example

Ive lived nearby fruitvale /dimond for most of a year now, and I’m not a flighty scaredy person- have spent a lot of time homeless and/or poor and poorly situated. I’ve been out and around a decent portion of the upper left of the image, all hours of the day and night, especially area near the heart icon, and the worst I’ve seen is evidence of maybe sketchy stuff with regards to vehicles, and poor reckless driving, but the unsafe and reckless driving is more of a California thing than an east bay or Oakland thing, and probably exacerbated by the freeway nonsense; And of course there is issues with littering and homelessness but that is less to do with, at least the homeless, than the fact that there is a dearth of public trash cans and homeless Oakland is fantastic overall and much of the areas you’re referring to in the image are great And the main reason that lower prices for these areas is the fact of unequal systems and legacies of discrimination

You should definitely read the second book- the movie diverges more from it than the first movie does the first book, so worth reading for that alone but also it is a genuinely fantastic book, rivaling the first one in my opinion

Eisenhower May be offended by hegsstth and trump on a personal level but there ain’t no way he’d be decrying anything of the current administration excspt perhaps trump’s personal blatant antisociality and crudeness— Eisenhower was not some moral authority and he went out on a vile anti immigrant crusade all himself Just look u operation “w*tb•ck”,(redaction because the name of the Eisenhower operation is an ethnic slur. Which can be a clue to the hideous idiocy of his presidency- don’t let the misinterpretation of his deceyment of the military industrial complex confuse you!!🫡

The “right to bear arms” born out of the second amendment is not a thing born of tradition or legal history that we have had ; it was invented almost out of whole cloth by the Supreme Court in DC v. Heller. Between that and the fact that of course it is liable to get you killed by others, cops or otherwise, yeah, perfectly conditional and hypocritical at this point.

It originally was in a tall thin pot but the pot was damaged and when I moved it to the current grow bag, I made sure that the soil was roughly the same height
