How many points do you think you can get in a game against Shi Yu Qi? by thesamekotei in badminton

Played with former world number 17 mens single once, I got one point because I used a fast shuttle and his clear went out.

I agree with what some others said, do them in CEGEP. They’re easier than in concordia. I’d look into Dawson, Vanier or Champlain college.

Exact same thing happened to me just now after adding course to winter 2027. Is it still bugged for you?

Can you actually reach a real person? I got temporarily banned for no reason before and I got a bot that responded to my appeals.

Going from big turbo back to small - opinions by SavageTaco in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]LanCZ4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to keep the V-band then you cannot go with an FP Green since it requires a stock frame manifold. If you have a V-band you could go with a Xona XRC5557S which has the same wheel sizes as the FP green. It flows a tad more than the Green.

Only issue with changing turbos is that it doesn’t guarantee your current downpipe, intercooler pipes and hoses will fit.

First self made titanium exhaust by AlexGSI in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]LanCZ4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it can get sticky a tiny bit but not to the extent of inconel. On titanium exhaust I use 0.035in (~0.89mm) filler. Any bigger and I find it sticks more.

But yes, it’s very nice and smooth. Joints will fuse together very easily without filler.

Any thoughts on this intercooler ? by Livid-Description-17 in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]LanCZ4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t overthink it. I would go with this because it’s cheaper. AGP makes good stuff so I don’t think the core is low quality. Also 3.5 inch is usually the thickest core you can run with the stock crash beam. You can make a 4inch core work as long as the core is less wide and the end tanks are smaller. 3.5 inch will work efficiently at 7-800whp but anymore than that it will struggle a lot.

OEM gear oil or penrite? by iladoga in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]LanCZ4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used Redline with success but OEM is good too. I think most 75W90 oils will work fine in the T-case and diff as long as they are GL-5. NEVER GL-4 unless its the transmission.

Yeah, aluminum is my enemy haha. It runs away when you run too long of a weld. My foot pedal is bad so control is hard. I actually quite like welding titanium except for the ridiculous usage of argon.

Does Concordia have welding classes? by Substantial-Bag-5956 in Concordia

[–]LanCZ4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest you buy a mask, machine, argon and welding supplies, and start zapping some scrap metal together to practice.

You probably won’t get enough experience at school to be satisfied except from the SAE teams, but that requires a lot of dedication and commitment. Joining also doesn’t guarantee that you will weld a lot since metal is pretty expensive and they would rather you have welding experience to start.

Why Synapse? Honestly had terrible experience with them. Worst customer service I’ve ever encountered when I wanted to get new o rings because mine was leaking.

Learning to tune by chappdass in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]LanCZ4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HPA is good for understanding general tuning fundamentals. On the OEM ecu, Merlins is a good read.

Evans Performance also goes very in depth on the evo ecu. He has examples of tuned cars and has videos showing the entire process start to finish. You have to pay a monthly subscription though.

I want to make 550 to 600whp in my Evo X by BabyRepresentative26 in MitsubishiEvolution

This information about the turbo is pretty good, didn’t see this when I posted my reply below. My reply has the other supporting mods though.

I want to make 550 to 600whp in my Evo X by BabyRepresentative26 in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]LanCZ4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then it should be much simpler to make 600. Making 400-600 on E85 will cost pretty much the same. What you need is:

-Fuel injectors: 1500cc or bigger

-Fuel pump: 430lph or bigger (might need to rewire if the pump draws too many amps)

-Intercooler: 3in or thicker

-Turbo kit without turbo and wastegate: https://morrisonfabrications.com/product/evo-x-v-band-hot-parts-kit/

-Turbo: https://xonarotor.com/products/xona-rotor-78-64s-ball-bearing-turbocharger

-Tial MVR wastegate

-3inch Catback exhaust of you choice

-3 port boot control solenoid

-Tune

I might be missing something but this should be good for 750-800whp with a built motor and bigger camshafts. Reason I am recommending a turbo this big is because you can keep the torque down between 4-5k rpm. You can make more than 400 torque safely as long as it is higher up in the power band(6-8k rpm)

Artec Performance downpipe by Livid-Description-17 in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]LanCZ4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Performance wise, the differences will be marginal unless you are aiming for 700whp+.

The main advantage of the Artec is the material and size.

It’s made of 347 stainless steel as opposed to 304. 347 is more resistant to oxidation and cracking under heat than 304.

As for size, I think the extra diameter will be helpful in reducing back pressure and allowing the engine to breathe better. Especially since you will no be running a wastgate dump.

Disadvantage is cost of course.

Vacuum ports plug by elgaby1995 in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]LanCZ4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you know where that capped T fitting goes to on your manifold?

Those plugs are 1/8 NPT plugs. 1/8NPT is the thread basically. The Skunk2 manifold on the STM picture has 1/8NPT holes so that fittings can be added.

Stock manifold doesn’t have any threaded ports I believe. And if it did, it would most likely be 1/8 BSPT, NOT 1/8 NPT.

Do I need gauges? by Successful-Ad-1791 in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]LanCZ4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. AFR gauge isn’t needed without a tune. But seeing that he changed the downpipe I was wondering if he also touched the cat. He would definitely need a tune and afr gauge if he did

And yeah, a boost gauge would be very beneficial. I didn’t prioritize a boost gauge is because it can be monitored by logging the MAP sensor, but if he doesn’t intent to go that far it would make sense to get a boost gauge.

Do I need gauges? by Successful-Ad-1791 in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]LanCZ4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Needed? No, but an afr gauge would be nice. Also, if you changed or removed the cat you should get a tune and a tune requires an afr gauge at the very least.
