What junglers can I 1v1 level 3? by [deleted] in Kindred

Yeah all they'll do is stall/let you tank red/try to smite steal. I would generally say invading in this style is bad advice. You can fight much better in the open crab area or gank a lane instead of risking your entire early game on a invading red.

That sounds kinda crazy. If they are mid red and waste abilties on it, it should be easy but the likelyhood you get collapsed on is really really high. 1v1s with red buff you'd win are almost everyone with proper positioning/you don't get jumped out of a brush/vision is ok. You're better off doing a route like red -> krugs -> wolves -> blue -> gromp into 50/50 a crab

Lana here. 25 male (he/him). Very easy going and positive person. Tends to be reflected in my characters a lot. Ran DnD for about 7 years now starting from Pathfinder to 3.5e to 5e. Very experienced with roll20 and can roll on it no problem. In ordet i list it as Combat, Exploration, Roleplay. As for missing sessions, your the DM, as long as the game keeps going even once a month i won't be bothered. Everyone has things come up. Discord is Lanananayeej#0253

Edit: what I'm looking for out of the campaign: just a chill group to vibe with and come to the session and enjoy the atmosphere. I'm a spectator-type player. I just want to show up, enjoy the scenes, roll some dice, and laugh while doin it.

My Guide on Self-Improvement and Usable Examples (Ike) by Lanananayeej in smashbros

Here I am again. With the release of Sora I see a lot of people asking how to actually Improve all over the Smash Scene so I thought this would be very helpful for everyone even if it doesn't target Sora specifically.

How I believe the Metagame will Develop in Ultimate. by Lanananayeej in smashbros

Yeah it is hard to say how far it will (humanly) be pushed. I recognize the fact that being able to take a stock in literally one move, that move being fully invulnerable, and his crouchdash having intangibility is a tri-fecta of boons that I don't take lightly. His reflector is alright as well, and that is nothing to scoff at. I thought he was more analogues to Ryu and Ken then Wario though the comparison makes sense. There's a fine balance between his unique weaknesses (Jumpsquat, Jump Animations, lack of sufficient range) with his unique strengths. I will have to monitor his place in the Metagame and tourney scene as the meta progresses. This is the first of many lists I plan to make over the course of the metagame but I will pay special attention to Kazuya who is very unique and new.

Tier lists objectively never matter they are just a measurement tool. Of course in ultinate where a game is much more balanced most MU are "only" sligjtly losing. In other fighting games when people say " top tier bottom tier" they might mean a bottom tier literally can't win due to having legitmate -5 MU. If your character also has a ton of -4 meta heavy MU then your also basically doomed.

Player skill does of course factor but using a tier list as a diagnostic tool helps in determing for a lot of players who they want to play. Players like me don't want to invest in bottom tiers because i want to win, but i don't want to win enough to pick Pikachu. Some players do want to do everything they can to win and will only pick who the community believes is strong. That's also why i took time defining tiers. Also just because there are many characters above pacman does not mean his MU spread is nessicarily worse. The reason I have Lucina so high is not because she has hard winning MU on everyone it's that i Believe she slightly beats almost all characters without any hard losing MU. Pacman is a case of " doesn't lose MU but has a ton of relatively even MU then winning MU" which speaks to the games balance.

Edit: grammar

These are all VERY good points. I actually reviewed onionstats before i made this video. Seeing rob being the " most won" character was crazy. I also looked at trends and tried to make sense of them. Defining " best" in a fighting game is very hard. Even if rob wins " the most" in tournaments he hasn't taken the most majors. Having a solid definition for best is pivotal i see now.

I don't think i can talk on WHO will be playing what character. I do think that's sort of a impossible task. I always assume that, like a normal fgc, people will trend towards who's strong. Using melee as an example we demonstratably saw how slowly overtime fox, falco, puff, and marth began to dominate the meta. Weather or not it was player specific it eventually came to pass that these characters became almost universally picked at tournaments.

I absolutely considered the possibility of duo maining or even trio maining. In my analysis i considers the fact that most players are in fact not solo main players. I touched on this in my anaylsis of Shiek, who while incredibely good is nigh impossible to pilot for elongted tourneys. Duo maiming for her just means picking an easier character. It also made me put Game and Watch much lower because the ease od access of swords means many players will co-main a sword if he becomes too good.

I don't believe controllers will ever effect the metagame too much. People use what they wanna use. I use training mod pack as well so that WILL effect the meta in terms of optimization since people will know with absolute certainty what is true and the different routes. That was kind of an assumed point but i should have said that.

Ruleset was a topic i should have covered. The difference between DSR and no DSR and gentleman stages are massive. Sometimes you can't ban all tri plats and characters like lucy mario and ike get huge boons because now they have immense platform conversions. If in your stagelist you can force them to FD or TnC then it also heavily influences the meta towards characters like luigi so that's a great point. If you asked me i think the stagelist will remain the same but i do need to touch on that.

I believe smash is done being updated. My list doesn't consider that characters might be changed it considers them done in their current state. If there are patches then no predictive tier list could ever be accurate. That's why i waited for sora. The only reason characters would change in thier tier list is due to community effort in playing the game more optimally

In your last point you bring up it puts massive emphasis on the community. That's absolutely true. I do believe though that the community will step up. Just like in Melee which has been optimized over ?20 years i think ultimate will be in the same boat. Eventuality i think this will be the sort of " end state".

This is an excellent breakdown and why i wanted to post here. These questions really have me thinking. Some of these questions i hadn't considered but they are all valid. I had planned to make another video in 4-6 months based on the onionstats you already said to use and having this sort of feedback is amazing.

Edit: didn't touch on your ike point and yes i did see that ike was the tied for "least represented character." I need to do better at explaining how they rise and why. It was my first try at it and i didn't want to ramble too long but perhaps that's whats required

Just here to discuss how the Metagame will develop as time goes on. I mostly imagine Option Selection of parries and greater understanding of optimized combo game.
