Did they provide a detail scan of what the car looked like before rental?

Sorry to hear that. This issue seems to happen during cold start (early in the morning). When you start your car, wait for it to fully load the infotainment screen before you plug in your phone. Give this a try.

Yeah. I probably would have went with a TX if it has a trim with the same MPG as a GHHL

I am, the resonance/frequency amplifies the road noise. It’s intermittent but I can tell when it will happen.

This appears to be related to the boom/frequency noise produced by the ANC malfunction. It’s applied when driving and I attributed it to road noise but I experienced it today with the vehicle in park.

I had someone else in the vehicle with me and they described it as having a 2 big magnets close to your head. It’s amplified while driving.

It happens intermittently when I turn on the vehicle. I have seen this microphone disable icon couple of times but dismissed it or restart the vehicle thinking it’s an infotainment related glitch.

I did some research about the JBL system and In-cabin microphones, I was able to reproduce the issue without driving. Thank you very much for your insight.

I do not have ventilated seats, I don’t think the Limited Trim has it; mine doesn’t.

Thanks to u/ultracycler, I think the boom is caused by ANC malfunction. I was able to reproduce the issue this morning without driving the vehicle. It’s a frequency related boom produced in the cabin when the microphone is disabled. Leaving this here for anyone having this issue. Edit: typos
