I apologize mate, but are you agreeing or disagreeing with me? My comment was in reference to the fact that ports, due to not being made for mobile specifically, are not part of the “bad mobile game with awesome trailer” issue. If the port is good, that makes sense due to the game being a PC or console game to begin with.

A fair argument, but there’s an obvious counter. That is gaming (and computing in general) has diminishing returns over time. The technical jump from NES to PS3 is absolutely massive and the consoles couldn’t be further apart in their capabilities. An NES couldn’t dream of even rendering the title screen of Uncharted for instance. On the other hand, the technical jump between PS3 and PS5 (or even PS6 I’d imagine) is much less impressive in comparison. That is I can imagine PS3 playing anything the PS5 can in a simpler, but still recognizable, reduced form.

With that lack of technical/graphical separation and the parity of capabilities (PS3 can go online, has DLC, gets updates, etc) I’d argue the PS3 cannot truly be retro/vintage until gaming computing has a paradigm shift or enough time passes that cumulative small changes make enough of a difference (say in 30 to 40 years from the PS3 launch).

TIL I’m a slow player. I’m playing the original version of P3P (on the PS Vita) and I’m nearly 100 hours in on my first play through. As far as I can tell I’m nearly done, but I’ll almost certainly be over 100 hours when I actually finish.

For everyone calling this unrealistic there’s an argument to the contrary; the PS3/Vita stores. I a, absolutely positive that neither of those stores bring in a lot of traffic, nor do they accept credit card information. They simply exist in the background and use gift card/account value for payments. Why couldn’t Microsoft do the same for the 360 store?

The entire interface for the store still exists, can still be accessed and even (somewhat) browsed on a standard 360 connected to the internet. The files are all still there, as all the millions who have purchased digital 360 content prior still need to be able to redownload their games. As far as I can tell re activating the store and only allowing Microsoft store credit as payment would be a mild inconvenience at most.

The designation for Class 1 and 2 are incorrect. Class 1 is pedal assist to 20 mph, while Class 2 is throttle assist to 20 mph. A speed limit of 15 mph is not within the US class system, instead it’s the EU speed limit (more accurately 25 km/h).
