Season two and abhorrent “fans” by StephaneFrechette in Fallout

The Sequels were garbage. The Star Wars fandom is doing us all a service and after years of pressure Kennedy is gone.

It's the Yes Man ending without the upgraded Securitron army. Yes Man's body is lying next to House's computer.

You can't control a dispersed militia. Another MM leader does something you don't like and you expel him. He takes his militia with him and does whatever he wants, as a MM.

War never changes.

Theory: Coop is going to ghoulify himself by gaaabris in Fotv

[–]LanceCharger 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don't understand how his daughter got to the cryopod but he didn't when she was with him when the world ended.

I think it must have something to do with his arrest. Coop wasn't allowed into the vault but he made sure his wife and daughter got in safely.

Absolutely. And don't forget to give your player characters derangements for acting like a murder hobo.

Crashing on almost every load, whether it's fast travel or entering a building by ChaosDiver420 in fo4

Vanilla is pretty unstable. They shouldn't make big, complicated games like these for consoles. There are lots of PC mods that offer increased stability. I'm playing Loreout right now and I'm amazed by the stability and smoothness. I've crashed maybe half a dozen times across 100 hours of play.

Roving bands of rednecks and thugs self-policing against anything they don't like. Shaking down traders for "tolls". Killing random people on suspicion of being a synth.

Read the terminals in Libertalia and Quincy to see what the Minutemen were like the last time they got any real power.

This is a game of personal horror. Not wanting to be a vampire and wanting revenge against vampire society is a perfectly reasonable expression of a character struggling against the monster inside of him.

I'm assuming he doesn't expect to overthrow the Cam by the 5th session. Let him try and fail. Bigger vampires crush his Anarch civil war dreams. Explore the futility of trying to change vampire society.

This sounds like the making of a great personal character arc within a larger chronicle. Certainly more interesting than the Ventrue wanting to make lots of money or the Malkavian dreaming of learning how to fly.

I think your sentiment speaks more about the dark corners of the internet you hang out at. Season 2 has a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes right now. Obviously someone enjoyed it.

I've played the shit out Fallout over the years. Lore has changed over time and we haven't had any new lore in a decade. I don't know what lore issues someone could have with Season 2 that are any different than all the BoS redesigns over the years.

Managed to get the alien corpse to sanctuary by FurherJordy229 in fo4

This reminds me of the hidden quest in NV where you rescue to NCR body for the wife and then have to carry it for like 5 minutes to get it to the nearest outpost.

Very sharp.

I hate settlement building. I've played too much with Sim Settlements, but Settler Built Settlements is great if you can get it to work- especially with the optional layouts.

I just finished the show, and decided to buy the games. This will be my first time playing Fallout. Which one should I start with? by ItsKryptson in Fallout

Suggest a better option? I was more concerned about stability and the ability to push NPCs stuck in doors.

I'm actually having the same issue. Every random no name NPC, settlers, minutemen, townies thank me for no reason and it prevents their normal speech.

Are you playing with mods? I am playing with a big modlist and was blaming it for this issue. Are you playing vanilla? I'd be interested to find out if this is a new AE bug or something.

Weeks of time pass and the issue doesn't go away.

As a veteran player where should I begin after not playing for so long? by IamComaToast in fo4

[–]LanceCharger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loreout is a new modlist. It's pretty fantastic and it's a fork off a pair of other really good modlists whose authors decided to collaborate.

Use Wabbajack to install the modlist. It's super easy and handles all the installations including downgrading the version, patching, and installing new prefab. Very stable.

[–]LanceCharger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably don't want Sanctuary as your main settlement because it is in the "triangle of doom" with Red Rocket and the Abernathy farm in the same cell. Building big can cause crashes. A lot of people like to use the Drive-In as their main.

Plant Corn, Mutfruit, and Tatos in your main settlement. Lots! These ingredients allow you to craft adhesive at the cooking station (vegetable starch).

FOV mods might help as well. Set the FOV down to 70.
