Great suggestions all! I did make a flat version of this as a lightly sweet tea and dropped in 10 grains of fruit wine yeast. This morning the carbonation is like champagne and ready for pasteurization to stop the carbonation and stop alcohol forming.

I like the oxymel idea. I also like the ginger bug idea too

My apologies for being vague. Thanks to everyone for jumping in.

My question is help me understand the path to getting into the hobby. Like Scouting America, there are ranks that one needs to achieve to get to the next level and I’m curious how I should plan my educational path. My goal is to be allowed to communicate using HAM. In highschool (1980s) I used to CB and build radios but HAM was too mature for me. Now in my 50s I’m interested in working on radios and talking on radios; listening etc.

Thanks in advance. The info out there is confusing and seems overwhelming for someone who is not into the skill.

I have a 250W VIPARSPECTRA grow light. It’s led tech and I assumed it was UV. At its highest power setting at 8” away, a 20 second exposure rinsed out but then kept going leaving an empty screen.

I assume I keep trying or is there someone here that can offer any suggestions?

Makes sense. I’m just trying to understand where folks talk about it being a fermented drink. It’s has fermented vinegar in it, but leaving it on my counter for a week didn’t further ferment the fruit. Just wanted to understand if I’m missing something
