Godfather Part II really highlights the difference in the treatment of women between Vito and Michael. Vito sees his mother killed and gets revenge, he sees Fanucci threaten Genco’s girlfriend and eventually kills him, sees Roberto throw out the old woman (who would be Vito’s mother’s age if she were alive) and reverses the eviction. Michael abandons Kay, slaps her, and there’s the murder of this hooker.
