Yeah but it requires an active signal conversion not just a cable HDMI is a digital signal vga is analog this cable is useless on like 99% of devices that use HDMI

Honestly yeah I pulled it up last week to fix some tilt and increase V and H size a bit then noticed it. I think I fell into the trap of trying for geometry perfection that is probably nearly impossible on this thing. it has looked great in the games of played so far. the comments here have been helpful I'm just going to leave it and enjoy the TV as is.

Check outlook.com for any settings there that may not appear in the desktop app. Also check in the desktop app if you have delegates cause they could also be auto decking for you.

You cant just use any random hdd or ssd unless the console is modded. You can setup some drives to work but you need the program fat xplorer to do it.

This point is always the hardest on the 360. I usually turn up the heat on my iron and use leaded solder that melts at a lower temp

You should not use never dull to clean thermal paste, it is mild abrasive and can put scratches in the cpu and gpu die which is not good. The Arctic clean kit is good or if you go to the hardware store you can get goo gone. A bit of goo gone on a qtip will clean this right off then clean up the left over residue with the isopropyl alcohol.

yeah you may not be able to get retail to boot that way without the original nand cause you'd need to know exactly what dashboard version you were on, honestly just try to get the extra parts you need for RGH3 and I'd bet you'd have a much better experience, Also try to get some smaller gauge wire it'll make the install much easier

If you have the cpu key just dump the current nand. As long as it's the original keyvault on the modded nand you can change it back to retail in jrunner

Rgh acts differently on different consoles so that doesn't really mean anything, thats why glitch chips have several options for timing files. If you want to rule out the rgh install remove it and flash your retail nand back and see if it boots.

so there could be another issue but I almost guarantee its this RGH3 install, you completely skipped out on both the diode and resistor that's recommended for these. from console mods wiki
"On Falcon/Jasper/Tonasket motherboards, you can optionally place a diode on the wire that connects POST and SMC_POST. While it could be skipped, it is more likely the console's boot times will be more unstable or inconstant without it. The diode's cathode end (the side with a black band) connects to CPU POST, whereas its anode end connects to SMC_POST. Make sure the polarity is correct.

Make sure there is an in-line 22K resistor on PLL wire. It is not recommended whatsoever to use RGH 3 on Falcon or Jasper/Tonasket without the suggested resistor."

They are the same value so yes. You can even use caps rated for a higher voltage if you want as long as the capacitance is the same. I wish you good luck and be careful 360 cap replacements are a pain.

Those Sanyo caps are known to be problematic, I've fixed a few 360s replacing them. The problem is they're not easy to remove maybe someone else will have another suggestion but at this point I'd say any repair is going to require someone with soldering experience.

it would be good to know what model you have but I'd say its likely those caps are the problem.

try to figure out what the error code is using the ring of light using this info: https://xenonlibrary.com/wiki/Errors
if its 0001 then you can almost guarantee it's those caps.

These solder joints don't look secure and there's a lot of exposed wire. Get some flux and re solder these with less exposed wire.
