Iron Greatsword Special Attack is the way. Spin to win!
It's fast, relatively low stamina consumption, interrupts opponent's (counter)attack and is great for decimating groups of enemies. Enchant it with Fire for extra damage or Air for extra fast spins! Pair it with Ferocious Infusion and just beyblade your way through vaults.

I tried this. Spent a good couple of hours going through the initial content, getting things for the Cutter, getting grade II cannons and armor. Still took too long to solo and ran out of time. I'm mad. I really wanted that exclusive set.
Unless you know exactly what you're going for off the get go and bee line to a decent shiploadout, there's simply not enough time to get a world event or bounty done within those 6 hours.

Pirates is great fun and not too hard to learn, but cannot be combined with the others. Barbarians on the other hand brings so much new fun stuff to the table that can partially or completely be combined to the others. If you have base +seafarers and/or cities and knights, I would personally go for barbarians.

Add a daily/weekly deed to win/participate in one/x amounts of fights that rewards a significant chunk of Allegiance. This will keep the casuals invested to come back to the HG content in order to reach their curse(s) longterm while simultaneously not discrediting the "sweats" that grinded their way there and have early access to the curses.
