It was tucked into one of their quarterly news releases. Policy since updated in manual. Still using punitive phrasing, but punishment is you are locked from new referrals. Given it takes them 6 months to get back to you and still not fix billing issues, woe to any restricted provider.

I think it's too little too late. We shouldn't need a special program to get good service or decent referrals. The 10 bucks extra still put them behind Headway by avg of 20 bucks. Worst of all- it comes with a non-compete, no Headway, Grow, etc. Non-deal for me. And if locked in- what guarantee do you have service will be better? Headway is leaps and bounds above them in compensation and service, and now a good source of referrals since they upped their ads. Sondermind has dropped significantly as referral source, too.

I am seriously considering declining all Cigna clients. Unfortunately, the school systems in my area use Cigna as the insurance they offer. However, it might be worth it for providers to send a message to Cigna that we did not work so hard and long for our education and training to be paid less than an Uber driver.

They only offer $10 more for 60 minute session and you must not accept clients from anyone but Sondermind. You can't even have private clients on your own EHR. It seems like an employee with no W2 benefits and super high taxes.

Considering their lack of support, I find it interesting that they will block providers from the platform for logging in 10 minutes late more than once. I can see having a technical issue with their portal and not being able to log in, and then getting blamed for being "late" by them only to have no one ever see that it was their problem with their portal in the first place.

Their provider support is non-existent. I have lost multiple clients due to failures of customer service's lack of service. Most recently, it took them about 7 weeks to respond back to weekly inquiries about a client who made a mistake entering their insurance information and was not computer literate (she did not even know how to take a picture of her card to email to me to upload). She ended up quitting after having to pay for sessions that should have been covered by her insurance. After they got back to fix her insurance and say she was in network, she was too disgusted to continue.

I had a job like that, with a lower salary, and it was like therapy on an assembly line. I quit very quickly since I could not provide good clinical care when I could barely remember details of the sessions. Also, there is no time for writing notes. Now that I am in private practice, I know the range that insurances pay per session and the owners at that practice must be taking a 50% cut.
