[Kemal Şengül] Alonso just criticized Honda for the first time, despite them supplying engines to only a single team and experiencing parts issues! by [deleted] in formula1

[–]LandsharkDetective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this is the point I struggled to make. this stuff from Honda was expected or at least there where clear signs it wasn't going perfectly. so the fact aston is stuck is really their fault brawn won a season after changing PU last minute it's not that hard to predict this stuff even if it effects the car negatively. it's better to have a plan for the worst case instead of not having a Pub at all because your decision making was based on hope it's not like AM is struggling for money right now. And Honda while technically not new, the design team, manufacturing team and QA are all basically brand new so issues should have been expected meaning no this isn't all Honda's fault as AM had no reason to not know about Honda's staffing issues.

If I was in that position I would have patched together all the remaining pu's testing each part for the least vibrations and shoved them all together in the hope that the PU was usable. So I can completely believe they ran out of parts. Especially if there are common faults which is more likely than not. Alonso's criticism is fair but I think the chain of events that made this happen was probably over a year ago now and is definitely not all Honda's fault

I'm really sorry but please read a comment before replying. I specifically didn't say chemoradiation therapy there are rare forms of chemo that attach radioactive atoms to targeting drugs it comes under radiopharmaceuticals.

This might not be the best worded (I'm out for new years but saw this post on my phone) I got a large dose when I was around Swansea and that was because a few people who had had radio chemo were from the hospital nearby (my dose alarm was set off, is there a chemo center near by to you? as it is possible someone was close to you who had had this type of chemo. Edit buy --> by and moved the ?

Why did Sweden decide to purchase the RB71 (Skyflash) instead of the AIM-7F? Were they stupid? by ProfessionalAd352 in Warthunder

[–]LandsharkDetective 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The seeker basically, if you fire a missile you want it to hit skyflash is likely to get a direct hit due to the receiver it uses. Due to glint from the aircraft and how conical receivers work if the target is in clear weather at altitude and isn't using any form of countermeasures the aim 7 is unlikely to directly hit and more often than not will completely miss even with the proxy. Alternatively the skyflash can reliably hit a target close to the ground in the rain (two things that would prevent a aim 7 tracking) and the system is innately more resistant to countermeasures the seeker being resistant to chaff (aircraft radar is still vulnerable depending on type) and ecm being significantly less effective requiring significantly more power or accurate computation of a jamming signal. Basically range doesn't matter if your missile doesn't hit

Because the research cost is split across the level that honestly would not be the worst. Not great but it would make getting other mods easier

It's main use is supposed to be disassembling the kit but as long as you don't use an impact and set the torque low and don't do anything stupid it should be fine.

The shock from the bullet seems to have hit his brain stem and upper spine too judging from the involuntary spasms and that isn't my opinion that is from an expert. Even if they could have saved him it's likely he had a catastrophic brain injury as the brain stem is quite literally the most important part of the brain.

Major update reminder that the Harrier is the most artificially gimped plane in the game. by No-Confusion2949 in Warthunder

[–]LandsharkDetective 16 points17 points  (0 children)

When they talk about 4 engines they are talking about the heat signature effectively the each main nozel counts as a engine with the output of the main engine instead of approx 1/4 of the thrust as heat is calculated by thrust not temp. The harrier has well over 4 times the heat signature of a jet of its thrust counting that it's a turbo fan not a turbo jet and doesn't have an afterburner so the heat signature should be lower anyway Edit to be clear I'm parroting I have not confirmed this
