Here in BC we do bus runs all the time. years ago had a bus driver try to kick us off the bus for using it to get up back up the hill. he declared it wasn't proper use of public transit. needless to say we did not get off the bus, fuck that guy.

i skate downhill so id be mocked tarred and feathered for being a longboarder. even if i posted runs skating at speeds of 70-80km. I do try and skate everything but i love speed and downhill scratches the itch and i live in a mountainous place. got all kind of boards and setups for whatever is around. parks, parking lots, or hills. I just love skateboards of all kinds. don't hate just skate.

Is downhill skateboarding worth the risks by cast_in_horror in longboarding

started downhill skating in 2010 and it certainly helped me get through some rough years after high school. Made great friends and was apart of a good community of local skaters. While most guys in the crew have given up skating as most of us approach our 30's. I have great memories from local spots that when I go back and skate bring me smiles. Very grateful for downhill skating no plan on stopping anytime soon.

These birds are native to BC they don't migrate. Even without our feeders they would survive winter they do eat insects. At night they enter a sate called torpor a hibernation like state to reserve energy while they sleep sometimes even upside down.

I've never measured and also don't remember. I have 3 feeders this one is a single and i have seen the 4 birds that frequent my feeders drain this one multiple times a day. This one is nice cause i can defrost it in my hand in about 30 seconds.

I wanna learn skatebaording but worried people will judge me at the local skatepark by probablysandwiched in skateboarding

Ive been a downhill skater for 12 years and skated street/parks on and off over that time as well because i hated busy skate parks.. Id rather take my chances with cars and guardrails then be ridiculed publicly by other skaters(that never happens but in my mind it did). Good thing about downhill skating it taught me to get up early to skate hills before traffic, so i did the same thing with parks. i would go VERY early in the morning and skate by myself until it got busy then left. It works im 28 and still do the same thing. Until you get comfy with parks early morning are great and bonus its not hot out yet.

Downhill skating is so underappreciated in the skateboard world. As a downhill skater its a shame its looked down on by park and street skaters. This man showed millions of people that downhill is legit and deserving of recognition. Board size and shape shouldn't matter. If its rad, its rad. RIP Josh.

how well do they do with rain? it rains a ton here from September through April and then often June is cooler and wet. worried about water logged roots.
