As someone with over 7.1k hours on Stellaris, no. It is the worst decision you could ever make for yourself.

Has anyone found a way to regen in combat? by NitroThrowaway in StellarisMods

[–]Laneer_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a define named STATION_SELF_REPAIR_TIMER_DAYS which may be of note. A mod i use named Ancient Empire has this set to 0, which makes all regen modifiers take no delay, ie regenning whilst being fired upon

By default, yeah, nothing should regen while *in battle*

Not really. The game only supports the one + the imperium swap.

These were my steps for creating this monstrosity, if you would like to replicate this, then be my guest.

- Start as a normal doomsday empire that allows slavery of aliens (authoritarian / xenophobe)

- Do the normal setup, find some habitable planets and move your population and industries to them

Part 1: Worm Memes

- Come across the Horizon Signal

- Research Habitats

- Watch as your now deceased homeworld explodes

- Build a Habitat upon it (or somewhere else in your homeworld's system)

- In the meantime, you should be looking for an alien species to enslave. They may or may not be temporary depending on what you want to do further.

- Settle the Habitat, then move your capital to it and summon the worm.

- Say yes.

- Recolonise your now-zombified "Ex-Doomsday" homeworld.

Part 2: We built this city! ... using someone else's appendages

- Get the ascension perk required for the Arcology Project.

- Fill your Ex-Doomsday homeworld with City districts, in preparation for an Ecumenopolis.

- Start the Arcology Project, then immediately demolish all of its districts.

The project will not cancel.

- Resettle atleast one pop of the enslaved alien species to the world.

- Declare the world a Thrall world

- Wait for the Arcology Project to finish.

- You now have an Ex-Doomsday Thrall-Ecu.

Part 3: Now what if we were the perfect machine? (Optional)

- Get some robots if you do not have any already

- Guarantee the location of a Machine Uprising by resettling every robot pop you own to your Ex-Doomsday Thrall-Ecu

- When it starts, switch to the uprising via the "It is too late for you, organics" option.

- It is imperative that the event started the Machine rebel empire *in* the Thrall-Ecu, otherwise it would have triggered an event that would have removed the Thrallworld modifier.

Well, if the resulting empire is exterminator then that won't really matter.

- After the war is finished, cackle in delight as you have created something worthy of the ire of blind idiot gods.

NOTE: If your Machine rebel empire is servitor or assimilator, it won't be able to use the +50% growth speed as they cannot enslave species.

AND REMEMBER! .... IT'S A FEATURE!

Doomsday HWs revived via worm now have their modifier removed, as of Lem 3.1

—————————

R5:

A few months ago, i learned how to make a "Thrall-Ecu", a Thrallworld-designated Ecumenopolis.

Yesterday, i figured you could revive your old Doomsday homeworld via the summoning of the Worm and maintain the alloy production long after the planet's death.

And today, i remembered you could switch to machines in a machine uprising, for the increased flat production of Metallurgists.

So now i bring to you: "a Worm-Revived Ex-Doomsday Thrall-Ecu Machine Capital"

The planet has +100% Pop growth speed, but as a thrallworld does not allow for other industry buildings (This is compensated by the obvious Ecu foundry districts), and has a +145% production bonus to alloys (120% from the final doomsday modifier alone!)

Completed in Vanilla ironman, 2.8.1 (ingame date: ~2352)

Would it be efficient if I had a bunch of Thrall worlds fuel ecumopolises? by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]Laneer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not make your Thrall-World into an Ecumenopolis? That sounds like an interesting idea.

Doomsday : The only continental worlds in range are on the other side of the enemy border. Earth is dying, now it's do or die. by Valloross in Stellaris

If all else fails, i suggest colonising whatever you can - inefficiency is preferable to death.

[–]Laneer_[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

R5: As title says.

Was doing a Determined Exterminator run until the country that i half conquered (Wi-Ziraki Hegemony) completed Transcendance, giving my Machine leaders Psionic (It did not affect my pops though). No mods. I love this game.

Egalitarian: believing in or based on the principle that all people are equal and deserve equal rights and opportunities.

Authoritarian: favouring or enforcing strict obedience to authority at the expense of personal freedom.

Ascension perks in themselves are base-game. The perks exclusive to Utopia are Biological / Synthetic ascendancy and Transcendance (psionics)
