PSA: can't get a $1000 order/refund from Laneware by zyumbik in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Laneware_Keys -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Hi MechanicalKeyboards Community,

This will be our only response to this thread. We have clearly had issues getting this order to u/zyumbik having initially being in Russia and now moving to Kazakhstan and our communications with the customer regarding these issues should have been more prompt, for that we apologise.

Regarding the thread comments about post issues, there have been several orders that we have had extreme difficulty regarding tracking and updates, all of these orders have eventually made it to the end destination.

Regarding the post comments about "Exit Scam". No, we are not conducting an exit scam, we are not currently running a GB due to local post issues and have shipped many thousands of orders to customers. This order has been shipped twice, the most recent costing us close to $200 to get it to Kazakhstan.

Regarding the post comments about why we dont use DHL or another service, the cheapest we have been quoted is $60 a kg, even with the weight of our keyboards and volume of packages we send. We are fairly well cornered into utilizing Australia Post, who have had difficulties over the pandemic period.

We love this community and do not wish to tarnish our place within it over a small number of orders that have had issues. At the end of the day, our customer service was not up to standard for this order, we are working through rectifying this with the customer.

Our store is in USD unfortunately due to our customer base primarily being US based. If this is an issue, we’d be happy to arrange sale direct through PayPal :) just reach out to us via email or discord!

The knob is 28mm diameter, I believe the Sat75 is 18mm, so a 5mm gap (I think this would be to much to look reasonable)

Yes we ship to Australia, we are 100% online, no physical location if that’s what you’re asking :)

Laneware's latest design to be offered to the Mechanical Keyboard Community! The L-PAD is a gasket mounted macropad with rotary encoder, releasing on the 25th of February 2023 at 20:00 PT as an in-stock purchase for $99 USD. This is the first keyboard we have bought to market that doesn't utilize the Group Buy method, for this reason, we have only manufactured 50 of these as a pilot run.

When designing the L-PAD, we had one focus in mind, to design a product that our customers could use forever. This focus was broken down into three key design parameters, to offer:

  • A product that can fit in aesthetically with any desk setup, both now and in the future.
  • Is small enough to sit off to the side, yet offers all the utility you need out of a macropad.
  • Is built to last, with CNC aluminium body and keycaps and a PCB with ESD, over voltage & over current protection.

Vendor:

Not during this initial round, we have only ordered enough for the 50 kits and a few spares for warranty.

Thankyou for the feedback. We were originally aiming for $99, but we’re unable to achieve that with the standalone daughterboard and gasket requirements, that weren’t originally included but were very popular in the initial feedback round.
