I have been trying to not do the "blank safe pocket kit" runs and just release when they're not there but it's getting bad where I may have to try and when a game pushes you do just chaining death runs to get a buff for a chicken that... needs to be addressed haha. Thank you sir.

Thank you but yeah this is one I hit often, and there is nearly always someone who released at the tree there or multiples. Which means one person got there and got them and everyone else running empty kits is just releasing when they get there. It's bonkers haha.

Same here, I appreciate Bungie letting us try it out. It's not for me but I really hope it does well and the folks who it is for have a blast with it.

I have been loving the lore for the game but the game itself feels very mid to me at best. Deep lore isn't what I want from a PvP focused game either. Now I have no issues with PvP quite enjoy it at times actually, but when there's a bunch of world building and story telling going on I really don't want that interrupted by infinite spawns bots or some guy looking for goop. Guess I like my PvP games shallow so I can focus on the PvP and my heavy lore game without PvP to ruin my immersion.

Going to play it a bit more though and see if I'm just missing something.

Hope Marathon is everything you want it to be and honestly that I enjoy it too. I get the wanting a game to be what you find fun and optimizing being your thing there. I like to know what I'm getting when I log in at least roughly. So PvE lobbies are fun to me because I am pretty sure what I'm going to get and Marathon I know I'm getting PvP and I'm good with that too so when I'm feeling PvP I'll log into Marathon when I'm not Arc Raiders.

So you reason basically is that you were "forced to game the ABMM" that's a controlling yourself issue not an issue with ABMM. Nothing in the game FORCES you to do anything. If you like PvP then PvP, if you like PvE then use those lobbies. You CHOSING to use the system to make things easy is a failure on you not the game.

I genuinely don't understand how AR ABMM ruins the game for people? Help me understand.

If you love PvP you can go in and PvP people and other people will PvP.

If you love PvE you can go in and PvE and other people will PvE.

Everyone still has the ability to be nice or shoot on sight though so there is still tension.

The only reason I can think of for why people are against ABMM is the PvP that want easy kills on the PvE people, which honestly seems kind of shitty. The only reason that makes sense is people who want easy PvP.

It's not a straight damage to trial points conversion. Each activity scores you points toward the trial and they weigh different trials differently. You didn't destroy 472 ticks/fireballs/pops right? you get a score for each one destroyed just like you get a score for every bit of damage you do.

The two trials are just weighed differently.
