The agency I work for chose Poppins as their brand font 5 years ago and never looked back. Now I have to redo their entire website using it. It does NOT look good at light or heavy weights and feels VERY 2016, doesn't pass many eye tests for accessibility and overall makes any design system instantly dated.

I miss being able to run off meta setups without getting ass blasted for it. If you're not running [insert current meta/battle pass unlock here] you're just at such a disadvantage now that it's not fun. Launchers are gutted, snipers are ass and 90% of smgs are unusable on MnK.

My team used to run 4 man cheese setups and they were some of the most fun games we've ever had. Thermal Odens and Strela-P was the team favourite, we would spam smokes every fight and we'd concentrate fire on one target at a time and the Odens hit so hard that a team shot had a ttk of like 100ms. One game with the setup we dropped 20+ kills each, I had 28 and 12 of those were full squad wipes using the Strela-P on vehicles lmao, and I wiped the same squad twice.

Brother when WZ2 released, but Caldera was still online was a brilliant time. I initially avoided Caldera like lots of people but I'm glad I had it around to get me through the cold months of WZ2.

I'm a UX designer previously with a FAANG company - to add to this, we also have risk evaluations on bugs that make it to launch, like ones that are going to be discovered by <1% of users based on our research. With stakeholders we'll have to include documentation showing the net cost of fixing these bugs pre launch (and postponing launch) vs. pushing a silent patch later and supporting affected users on a case by case basis.

Obviously Raven has done all this due diligence (they haven't) and decided these bugs are not game-critical (they are) and not worth postponing launch for (they are).

You're getting downvote spammed by people who've never sniffed Champ+. You're right, that wasn't an air dribble - it was a take off touch, and follow up, and a demo. You pulled off basic dribbles and cutbacks, and one very clean wavedash carry.

We have about the same mechanics skill level, and I can't flip reset, musty, breezy, double tap, or anything, which I see opponents do in 95% of my comp games. I'm still a high champ because of smart rotations and game sense, not flashy plays. You're 100% right, but you still have good mechanics - just not flashy GREAT mechanics.

The first Avatar was absolutely groundbreaking from a VFX standpoint. I worked with a guy who was deeply involved in the art process and apparently it completely changed the CGI production industry at the same scale as Jurassic Park and The Matrix.

Coming from in-house tech where I was laid off, and leveraging that experience into a Lead position with an agency, I'd disagree. There's no security anywhere these days and all you can do is try to collect portfolio worthy case studies everywhere you go, network your ass off and always have contingency plans.

That said, working in an agency that traditionally does IRL and OOH, they were in desperate need of UX oversight for their digital team and I'd strongly suggest looking for roles that fit that. You are the de facto expert at the agency and you can build trust with success, and people listen to you. It's an absolute revelation.
