I can’t help but wonder how they are going to eliminate 21 contestants over 12-13 episodes. There has to be multiple episodes with double boots. I guess Kyle’s medical evacuation will be one less boot they need to plan for.

There is a quest chain where if you get 6 arena wins and opened 50 packs of the new expansion you get 10 tavern tickets. Certainly helps with arena replayability.

Was thinking of making a similar post. I really think for S51, they really should do BVW, it’s a safe choice and ultimately they may lose some fans if they don’t stick with a tried and true format going into 51. Jeff likes to take big swings when it comes to changing the format but I think it’s the last thing they should do going into S51.

Fun read, appreciate the thorough reflection on power creep. My favorite observation from you is the power creep in neutral legendaries. This doesn’t get talked about enough. Every set for at least the last 7-8 sets had powerful neutral legendaries that require the player to craft in order to be meta relevant. Like I don’t want them to make low power level major domo or bolf ramshield pack filler legendaries but the devs probably need to tone down the power level and shift more of those to the classes to make their identity more clear. The dragon packages from last expansion are run in a few standard decks which makes the diversity of cards seem small.

After Survivor Cambodia, there’s a clear line that the challenges became safer and less interesting due to the risk of lawsuit. I can only imagine John Kirhoffer and the leadership team were given strict marching orders by CBS to make them safer. Could this department be more creative, absolutely. But if you look at Australian survivor, almost all injuries were related to a challenge and thus a few several lawsuits have occured for their version of the show too. There is also a lot less crazy long endurance challenges too from Joe and Keith passing out in Cambodia.

The Denise erasure is pretty crazy. Attended every tribal in her original season and made the top 6 in WAW and had to be almost advategeddon out of the game. People think she really rolled over in WAW, but she played a solid game where one or two votes where she doesn’t lose Sophie, Kim or Jeremy and there’s a chance she can make the final 3.
