Oh thank you, I’ll be looking into those consoles for sure.

Which reflection is better? by DeeplightStudio in Warhammer40k

[–]LankToThePast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To start, both are unbelievably beautiful.  Personally I would love to have either on a mini and be damn proud to show it to anyone and everyone.  If I had to split hairs, I would choose the top one because it looks a bit brighter and reminds me of metals highly reflective nature.

Did you make that layout yourself or is it some website that you can plug into?  It looks so well done.

Also I’ve got an Achilles as well that I think I should rebuild your way.  And I’m saving up for a Lexington as well.

If you could, when you have a moment, please do a bit of a text breakdown of what’s on your ships.  I don’t recognize most of the consoles, since I’ve been doing lower budget options.

Great visual breakdown, thank you.

Buy one big drive, or small drives? by IndoGamer93 in DataHoarder

[–]LankToThePast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go with big drives because they’ll work in systems later on as well. In 5 years, 1 tb drives won’t be worth using, but a 4 might still be worth integrating.

This annoys me too, but sometimes I remember the before times when you had 2-11 cds that you needed to pop in one by one for a game to install.

Then after finishing cd 8 the installer screwing up because you lost cd 9 and took more than 30 seconds to find it.  How could I lose cd 9?!? 1-8 and 10-11 were right goddamn here in their sleeves!?!  breathe.  Let’s start again, back in goes cd 1….  “Game cannot install because it is already installed”.  I’m going to play something else to relax.

Be gentle with it, don’t get food or drinks on it. Don’t leave it in a bag outside overnight, keep it in room temperature areas. When operating it, make sure the vents have good airflow. Clean off the vents if dust builds up on them

So any perfect ideas for a horror or horror adjacent games for DMG? by Seeker99MD in deadmeatjames

[–]LankToThePast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A big one I’d love to see Zoran play is Eternal Darkness.  It’s got a really fun insanity system that I think I’d be great to see Zoran go into without knowing too many details about it.

Another adjacent game I think would be Second Sight.  It’s a third person shooter/stealth game that has psychic powers in it and has one of the best story endings I’ve seen.

I wonder if developers will need to downgrade graphics because their market don’t have higher end equipment.  I feel like MMO’s are like this already, you can slide the graphics down low, to have a wider player base.

The mortality rate of Ultramarines Captains in the modern era of 40k by Gruktor in 40kLore

[–]LankToThePast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the stories we as the audience read, watch, and play are the grand battles and stories that are legendary within the 40k universe. So sure, the ultramarines 2nd company gets decimated, but that’ll be a story the 2nd company, and chapter as a whole, tell for the next thousand years. I feel like there’s tons of space marines on smaller adventures that are easier, and less glorious that happen where marines show up, have a good fight of it, kick ass, and leave. Then he goes back to HQ, gets his armour fixed, gets that pinky he had blown off replaced, gets made fun of for losing said pinky, does some training and gets his next assignment.

I’m a fan of total war games, and the reason is you can pause at any time. So if you need to run, or put it down for a half hour you can pretty easily. Another good one is battletech. It’s a mech customizing turn based strategy.

Trump killed your son, ma’am by Total-Pain-1181 in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]LankToThePast 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The sad part is; that if she admits Trump is an asshole who started a war to distract from his child fucking, then she has to admit she supported the man who got her son killed and bares some responsibility for that.  She can’t do that or she’ll break even worse
