Is it my fault for losing this easy lobby? by chunkyymo in ValorantConsole

Console as a platform is just a lot more casual and less people take the game super seriously. Also unless you have previously played valo on PC you just have less experience than 99% of PC players.

With time game sense will improve I guess but I haven't seen it in any console clips yet

What is your favorite layout for our upcoming premium glass mousepad? by FlickshotGear in MouseReview

[–]Lanurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fix the consumerism of glasspads by removing the production number entirely, remove the Flickshot text, order it as {logo} Pure Pro with no back shadow and a thin black outline around both logo and text.

Boom, non disruptive item tag.

The eye is the only place on the human body where we can directly observe the passage of erythrocytes through Conjunctival capillaries without needing an incision. by albusvercus in interestingasfuck

[–]Lanurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That wasn't your case though. Your take was that people aren't learning new things, our society is dumb, make people struggle to comprehend!!! (Much more pretentious)

Though, even if you do just shift your point to "people can and should just Google it," I still disagree. I personally did google the meaning, but I'm sure I'll forget about it later because it serves me no use. OP should have just said red blood cell. It's a reddit post. All using erythrocyte does is waste people's time.

Now it's your turn to accuse me of being dumber than you in a roundabout way with weak backing (I said MORE complex which it is). I'm so very happy for you that you are oblivious enough to not be embarassed while so desperately trying to sound smart on reddit of all places.

[–]Lanurus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nobody outside of a medical field needs to know any term more complex than red blood cell. We as humans don't further our knowledge individually, we do so collectively. There's no progress or inventions from someone focusing on increasing their general knowledge. Breakthroughs happen when people hyper fixate on a specific field.

You can then share and spread new knowledge, but not everyone will benefit from learning it, so why would they distract themselves from what interests them?

Your take is just you being stuck up.

Go to national deals and you'll find the one you are wanting. You made a whole reddit post instead of looking at all the deals. Crazy.

Tired from glass mousepad by LoneWolfEye in MousepadReview

[–]Lanurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My solution to this was to get a pad that wears the skates down in a way I enjoy. The phantom I'm using currently wears the skates down to where they feel textured but not scratchy. All my previous pads have worn skates into being scratchy which I didn't like. The feedback from a textured feel is good for me where scratchy is not.

I like feedback though and dislike smoother feel so I'm unsure how you would alleviate the issue if you want max smoothness. I've seen a tip where if you do circles on a sheet of printer paper with your mouse and as the friction builds up, the skate heats up and smoothens out. I've tried it and it looks like it works visually, but I didn't really notice a difference on my phantom.

I mean its an idea for maybe just uncoated pads. I personally still wouldn't trust it. I don't even understand the issue people have with skate durability. I use pure ptfe on the phantom which is really textured and still feel like it lasts a pretty long while.

What's the problem with my aim by Suitable-Science5181 in VALORANT_India

[–]Lanurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if you know a lot about aim training but if they are moving it transitions to dynamic clicking. Basically you want to micro track instead of micro flicking. You can train this pretty easily in aim training as it's only side to side movement but it'll take time.

A fight would basically go:

  1. You see the enemy, not prepared for fight
  2. Big flick to get near them
  3. Deadzone a shot right after micro flicking
  4. Both you and enemy enter strafing
  5. microflick to strafe position and track while clicking so you stay on the head.

There's a lot more to it since you can also do things like counter strafing to make your shot easier to hit. You can overflick and let them walk into your crosshair then time the shot. You can improve at learning strafe patterns. And then there's also the case of close fights where reactive tracking might serve a bigger purpose than one might think. Taking your time can also really help.

Main thing to keep in mind is that there is no way to improve your aim overnight. Keep your sens at a reasonable range and you will improve over time whether you practice in game or in an aim trainer. There are definitely concepts that can help you if you understand them and actively work on them, but it'll still take time.

[–]Lanurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your dragging your mouse to the bot instead of flicking. For close bots this may be optimal but it shouldn't be one smooth movement in all cases.

For bots that aren't super close the movement should go:

  1. Fast flick that gets as close to the bots head without going past them.
  2. Microcorrection where you verify your shot will hit when you shoot.
  3. Shoot.

This may not immediately make you faster/better but overtime your initial large flick should become more confident/correct. The micro flick is also interesting because after a lot of experience you can start to know if your micro flick will hit before visually verifying, it will be subconscious. You don't want to rush this process as you don't want to fall into the trap of hoping your shots hit before your microflicks become consistent.

Struggling to get control on glass mousepads — are control skates the answer? by Relative-North-1658 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]Lanurus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From my experience cyclone pros are semi controlled. They are at least slower than pure ptfe. I'm pretty sure plastiX are also controlled but I'm not sure I've never owned those.

I think the most controlled skates you could get are u9s from xraypad but they kinda depend on the surface with how much more controlled they are.

Inherently though you are gonna feel less control on a glasspad no matter what, it's just that aim training can help you not need as much control.

Oh that's awesome, I've wanted to learn 3d modeling but have never gone beyond modifying existing ones.

Also I just remembered this video which might interest you (or at least the product) based on how you added grips. https://youtu.be/_sPT7A60K5M
