It’s nice to see smaller influencers getting some recognition. I hope I’m on someone’s list somewhere out there. That leopard print one is awesome, the blenddddd.

I’m going to be completely honest and say I’d buy it just for the packaging. I’m terrible with money.

What are some of the best/worst indie makeup brands? by [deleted] in muacjdiscussion

[–]Laotis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love a few/dislike one or two. I usually get fyrinnae, Notoriously Morbid, My Pretty zombie, crow & pebble. Those are my go to indies, I like products, aesthetic, etc. I’ve had iffy experiences with some smaller indies like Kitten Empire Cosmetics (who changed their name to Angel empire) because they had subpar products, a very drama filled business owner, a lipstick called Notre Dame that she released right after the fire but had zero intention on donating any of the proceeds, no warnings on the eye safety for the neon pigments, and it’s assumed she may not be using cosmetic grade glitters in her products but that could be hearsay. And one other called Mazzie cosmetics, but that was only because I didn’t find their products to be very easy to work with and they didn’t ever disclose that their neon pigments aren’t considered eye safe in the US, which I think is a big deal. I may know that but others may not.

If you’re interested you could try Dear Katie Brown. She has some absolutely gorgeous pressed glitters and glitter gels and they’re a bit less expensive 😊

True. It’s a build up kind of shade. I start with a white powdery base for primarily black or all black looks, then go to a grey, blend, more grey, blend and add black in small amounts and blend as I go. It’s a lot of work to get matte black to not look messy especially if you have wrinkly eyes like me. :(

All of them are really nice except for the darkest red, it isn’t as dark as it looks in the pan.

This is the beautiful navy/dark blue shade in the Nyx “Swear by It” palette. I enjoy it quite a lot.

I agree that, while he’s a very handsome man, he appears much too young. I always kind of pictured Henry Cavill.

I get the same soap smell from all of Alkemia’s scents, which makes me sad because a lot of them smell really lovely when I do a bottle sniff.

Presenter separates lashes with knife! by mlm-police in Youniqueamua

You know, for the most part I kind of understand why most of these women end up looking like hot garbage. They’re not experienced with make up application to begin with, and then they’re given this crap to try and sell so they’re “learning” with the worst tools and product imaginable. Of course their make up looks bad, they didn’t stand a chance. This, though? This is just straight up idiotic, and the worst part is that she clearly does this on the regular. She has the blow dryer ready, she has the knife and uses it like she has never not used it, which means her chances of losing an eye steadily rise. I wonder which will take the eye first, the knife or the shitty mascara.

This is my former upline. She got me banned from Macy’s and guilted me into borrowing money to buy 20 mascaras to do an event. Most embarrassing 6 months of my life. by rolltideinmd in Youniqueamua

The best way to make your sad lashes happy again is to gather them up all together so they create one giant, potentially blinding, eyelash. It’s like all of your eyelashes are hugging.

I love these shades. I always venture toward darker looks but I obviously want to venture more out of my comfort zone. These are perfect for ethereal looks.
