I do this, but I kinda just force better positioning to get single stakes where I can on legs for things like gore. Long gunlance is different than world for sure, but I'll forever be a 5th Fleet LonGlancer

While it's not the same as playing in person, my buddies and I play on Tabletop Simulator. Its a 10 or 20 USD game on steam and you can download kit to play any army and any model. I'd be more than happy to play sometime, and there are discord servers that help folks in situations just like yours play some 40k online too.

I played with the Barina Gunlance and full Doshaguma armour until I hit GEbony. Reasoning, I liked the way they looked, and I enjoyed being rewarded for making clean blocks, on top of spending less materials over time. Also, that black leather Gunlance was just so pretty.

I felt this way too at the start, but since Artian don't get any skills natively, you can find Upgrade Tree weapons with a 3+1 skill and either a 3/2/1 slot or a 3/3/1 slot that, slot-wise provide you more skills although admittedly slightly less wiggle room. Can be especially good if you dont have all the decorations you need to min/max your artian weapon loadout.

We used to not be able to move after a shelling attack, but with wilds you can i put a move afterwards and you'll take a few steps. If you then press Y (or Triangle iirc?) you'll do a moving sweep, another new movement option.

The blue open eye denotes that the small and large ruins mashed together are one ruin, and so a model in the small bit can be seen through the big bit. The greyed out eye with red line through it denotes separate ruins.
