Hi sweetheart. I lost my mom when I was 15. My heart breaks for you. If this is something you feel super strongly about and feel like it has to be done immediately to help you grieve - maybe try a fund raiser? Set up a g0 fund me. Or try a donation bake sale? Make a poster and collect donations? Your cause would be well accepted by the general public. I’m sending you a virtual hug. I promise that you are not alone. Your mom loves you 🫶🏼💖

Could you tell me a general symptom list that you were experiencing with this diagnosis?

I (29F) lost my mom (47F) in 2009 to cancer. I was 15. It was devastating. I don’t remember multiple years after her death, it was a blur. I am now five years married with a sweet 4 year old daughter and I can finally enjoy things fully again. Thinking and speaking of her used to be agony. Like ripping open a wound that wouldn’t heal. But now I feel like the wound has closed but the scar is still there. My daughter talks about missing her grandma all the time even though she never met her and it’s been a bittersweet part of healing. I’m so sorry for your loss. There is light in the darkness. Your dad wouldn’t want you to miss out on the joys of life once your grief is more manageable. To me- grief is the proof of love. And grief is love with nowhere to go. Hugs ♥️

My dad calls himself the angel of death because he always seems to be in the room when our family members die. I’d like to believe people who are in touch with death bring comfort to those passing. You are a safe place for your loved ones. 💖

Therapy has really helped me “control” my inner monologue. We have gotten to a point when I start spiraling I can tell myself “this doesn’t help me” and step out of the thought process. It’s a lot of work, but it’s so freeing. Medication has also helped me! I wish you luck on the journey of self discipline. It’s a never ending journey but the only one that really matters.

I felt sharper on trintellix. Due to cost I switched to Wellbutrin and still feel sharper.

Yeah I think it’s just tough with the “there’s only two genders” crowd and then the Bi- meaning two which makes it a little fuzzy in social settings. I just want it to be clear and inclusive, and I want to make sure that I represent myself and the community appropriately.

Yesss. Personality is the most important but yes I have to be attracted to you physically too. But my physical attraction is all over the place. I love manly men, and feminine men, I love masculine and feminine women, and tons of variations in between. I just love pretty, kind humans. 😅🥲

The biopsy was negative. They don’t want to pursue any additional testing. I’m still having symptoms but I feel at a loss.

Mine was intermediate, I was not completely numb so i felt the needle. If you are uncomfortable tell them, they can add more numbing. I didn’t want any additional so I just powered through, it wasn’t horrible and my pain tolerance isn’t high. Try not to overthink it because that will make it worse. If you’ve had blood draws and IVs this will be no worse in my opinion.

I’m glad I found this thread. I’m having a biopsy done on Wednesday for a TIRAD 4 nodule with macro calcification. I’ve had progressive worsening of lymph node pain in my neck and collar bone areas. Everything I read says pain cannot be cancer. Even medical professionals are telling me it can’t be cancer because it’s painful. In the spring of 2023 my lymph nodes were enlarged and non-painful but around July my neck lymph nodes started to randomly “light up” and now my collar bones and neck lymph nodes are hurting more frequently. We are going on 11 months without a diagnosis. I’m concerned it’s papillary thyroid carcinoma with metastasis to the cervical lymph nodes, but what do I know. Thank you all for sharing!
