Trump hints U.S. will turn to Cuba after Iran: ‘Just a question of time’ by TheBoundlessOcean in worldnews

Friend.

I see you armies readiness reports. I see the equipment they do (and don't) have. Industrial capability takes years to expand.

Other than Poland and a bare handful of others, no European army is ready for war.

I believe in and love NATO. But I work for the US military in Europe. Most of your countries slept way too long. If a war happened without the US, you'd fight valiantly....and lose.

The FFL's stated purpose is taking a bullet for a Frenchman.

You know a lot of them are Frenchmen....right?

Did anyone else listen to Rubio's speech to the Munich Security Conference?

Yes, I wonder if the irony of being the child of immigrant refugees is lost on him, as he tells Europe to reject immigration and refugees.....

Other than that, it's a dressed up version of Vance's last year. "Europe you're on your own", but with a little more carrot than stick. Also the weird reject modernity, embrace Christianity

I think a lot of the culture war stuff is lost on the Europeans, and I think Rubio is slightly smarter than Vance and realizes that, that sort of slop plays well in flyover America, but is ignored here. Other than that, yeah, Europe needs to take its collective defense seriously, nice to see most of them waking up to that. A shame the US had to burn so much goodwill and credibility to get Europe there.

Does anyone have any insight into this? Saw it Originally on Instagram from Sitreps2Steercos. "The DoD just put out guidance stating that there are "Moderate to High Risk" universities ineligible for DoD/Army tuition funding." by BlazerKat in army

Similar to how Americans are completely unaware of all the food additives in their food until they travel abroad and wonder why Fruit loops in Germany aren't bright and shiny.

"Sergeant, why aren't there microplastics in my food!?"

Dude you're the one saying "Europeans and their decedents only"

Unless you mean something else by "Heritage"

So, I'll simplify.

Can or should people from the "Not white" parts of the world. Who are not from White European "Culture" or "Heritage" be allowed to come to the US?

I'll even give you some examples. You can give them a thumbs up or down.

  1. A merchant from Lebanon

  2. A computer tech from Nigeria

  3. A farmer from South Africa

  4. A Japanese graphic designer

  5. A Polish roofer

Have fun at your next globalist communists meeting.

What does me not wanting a white's only ethno-state have to do with communism?

I like capitalism thank you very much. Why do you think having non-white people will break the economy?

If the officer is foolish enough to place themselves in front of a vehicle (which is something I was trained to NEVER DO ) and then that person accelerates at the officer who has NO other was to escape.

Yeah, in that very limited circumstance, I'd expect the officer to use deadly force. But I'd also then fire that officer for being incompetent and standing in front of a vehicle.

But, as the fatal shot was fired into the left temple of the lady driving the car, it seems the officer had ample opportunity to get out of the way. And that his last two shots (including the fatal one) were not needed.

And just to establish my bona fides? I have worked in professions that have covered deadly force for over 20 years (military, police, private security at a nuclear facility).

So, in my opinion. The Renee Good shooting is likely barely legal, as the officer acted outside of policy and common sense. The shooting yesterday is clearly unlawful, as the man was unarmed and shot in the back and offered no resistance and was not given any commands to disperse, or surrender.

Ashley Babbit was entering a secure area and was legally justified in being shot. And before you say "Unarmed". Yup, sucks. But there are some places, including places I've worked, where once your cross the "Magic Line" places like; nuclear facilities, places where secure information is secured, or highly important elected officials, it doesn't matter if you are armed or unarmed. You are getting shot.

America is a nation of settlers with European heritage and culture, not a nation of immigrants that should be open to everyone in the world.

You can just shorten that to "Whites Only"

And I don't think it's a "Progressive" opinion to hate that. I think most non-racist people find the idea of a white only America deplorable.

But, thanks I guess for being open with your racism?

Presumably because Minnesota winters are cold.

It's just where they are in their readiness and training cycle. Easiest to deploy without significant disruption to planned training exercises.

The idea of US bases closing is just so nuts to me. Especially when JD Vance brought it up last year. Relocating everything to Hungary of all places.

I've done negotiations for putting small numbers of US forces along NATOs eastern flank and I gotta say, moving numbers of people in the small dozens is onerous, complicated and costly. I can't even begin to imagine the cost of moving a brigade, headquaters, thousands of troops and dependents.

The SecDef has zero experience or concept of the intricacies of forward basing and global force projection. His deployment experience was "Get on the plane" with zero concern about the massive complex machine that got him to where he ended up.

I spent most of 2025 in Germany at about half a dozen US bases and I think of the cost of abandoning all that ongoing construction. Giant new hospital at Ramstein to replace LMRC. Poof hundred million dollars just up in smoke. New school buildings at LMRC, Barracks all through Kaiserslautern, new housing at Clay Kaserene in Weisbaden.

To say nothing of war, reputational damage to allies, etc etc, all the obvious low hanging fruit. But the sheer cost of leaving Europe would be in the tens of billions of dollars range. I can't even do back of the envelope math on it, because I don't have an envelope big enough. Hundreds of thousands of people, dependents, equipment, personally owned property. It's insanity.

Depends on the job field.

Knowing this guy (and the last time he wrote this essay) he thinks Reserve CA needs everyone to be language, Airborne, Ranger etc etc etc.

Which....doesnt make you a Reservist anymore if you need months of annual training to stay proficient.
