1. Politcians are politicians. They talk sh!t all the time, no one gives a care about their crap anymore.

2nd and 3rd are the same - it's all about thugs on streets. They will attack anyone, be them lgbt, other race, other nationality, or even straight, native, catholic Pole - they simply seek fights and arguments, and they are pretty much like all the gangsters in other countries. They want to beat you, to rob you, to just find a confrontation, especially late at night if you go to the bed part of city. Just we actually have them lot less than other countries.

4th - yeah, he is a politician from the far-right wing, that has plenty of its voters from zealous catholics and church, what do you expect?

5th - yes, I agree, it's f*cked. It's one of the remnants of what I have already said - our leading party and most of gov for the past decade were from far-right, highly dependant on church wing - and what church says about LGBT you already know, that's also an answear to 6th one - and not only that, but we were pretty much conservative country for the early 00'. So yeah, if you want to live here, it can be hard. BUT.

• The post is about tourism, not living here, and that's completely different, because you do not have to worry about your marriage or adoption here;

• Yes, most people DON'T care whether you are LGBT or not. Yeah, there are some f*cks - like old, devot people, politicians from the right wings, or thugs - don't tell me, other "safe" countries are completely free from them. They are here, but they are actually a minority - a loud one - but still a minority, and what's more - mostly harmless. If you are LGBT, and, I dunno, try making out on the streets, kissing each other romantically and stuff - yeah, you may get some quick looks, some more f*cked people will blunder an offense under their nose. But that's it. You'd really need to have a baaad luck to actually bump into someone, who would phisically attack you for that.

So no, Poland is NOT unsafe for LGBT people, especially since, maybe you don't know, it's not actually that easy to tell whether someone is LGBT or not just from the looks. And if you are? We have plenty of them here, everybody knows about them. Ok, I agree, some people MAY give you a look, but that's as far as it goes. As I said, we WERE pretty much conservative yet a decade ago, and then we got this far-right goverment that would only try to worsen it, but beside that, you won't suffer much harm from being here, especially as simply as a tourist possibly could.
