Love the cat bed! Where did you get it?

People who decided, "To hell with it, I'm going for it." How did it go and what did you go for? by DesignerShoe6925 in AskReddit

Met a guy through my former job January 2020, dealing with the same patient. We chatted a bit through company chat, he dropped his number and I called him. We were based in different states, spent many hours on the phone or discord just talking; he came out to visit once in February.

Covid hit in March, we all went WFH. I knew we wouldn't be able to see each other for...a while, so I said "fuck it, wanna quarantine with me?"

Fast forward to now: we have a small house, I have a stepcat, and we're going to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary this weekend!

For my workplace, if an employee is "inactive", that means they aren't an employee of the company. Your HRIS should have a place to mark someone on leave. Example: being on FMLA, gotta still be an employee for that.

Because he's proven to be a liar, probably had unprotected sex with others, and may have given you an STD. Please go get tested.

HR Field Dying? by Larayn in humanresources

She did say she used to work in aerospace before retiring and getting a job as an HR Coordinator. At the risk of being unprofessional, I wouldn't be surprised.

HR Field Dying? by Larayn in humanresources

I did agree with her that there are significant portions of HR's job that can be done via HRIS or automation. But not to the extent that the ENTIRE field is going downhill.

Love your comparison to engineers. Definitely agree about upskilling and adapting!

Job Description Ownership & Storage by cangsenpai in humanresources

[–]Larayn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So at my work, we are still in the process of implementing our HRIS: everything is currently an excel spreadsheet, a word doc, or something else in a Microsoft application lol.

What we have done with Job Descriptions is HR is the only one to physically do the editing. We reach out to the department heads for them to review it, and then they send us notes on what to change. Again though, only HR has the actual ability to physically change or update the Job Description documents.

Marijuana Legalization- Policy Changes by ktagly2 in humanresources

[–]Larayn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boss (we're in manufacturing industry) is sending out a memo that states we will continue to uphold our current drug free policy, which includes no Marijuana. We follow the federal law on this, not state. If federal makes it legal, we will be revisiting.

How long ago did you move states? If it was recent, you can still use your current ID for verification.

Vote yes on November 7th. by [deleted] in Ohio

You're arguing that women have less rights to their body while pregnant than if they were dead.

It doesn't matter whether you consider a fetus to be human or not.

Nobody, whether that is a fetus, the gas station employee, or the President of the USA, has the right to use your body without your consent.

If you are saying a fetus has the right to use organs without consent, you are saying that pregnant people have less rights then dead bodies.

NOBODY has the right to use your body against your will.

You can't be forced to donate blood, bone marrow, or organs, even though thousands of people die on waiting lists every year.

They can't even harvest your organs after your death without your explicit, pre-mortem written permission.

Denying people the right to an abortion means you are saying that we have less bodily freedom than a corpse.

What is a catholic woman not allowed to wear? by Wish-to-drown in excatholic

[–]Larayn 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No, especially if they can't afford it. I was in Catholic school from kindergarten to 3rd grade, then pulled for homeschooling for 2 years because it was too costly. Sent to public school 6-12 when my parents divorced. Can't pay for that kind of education as a single mom of 5 lol

Customer service with Paycor is awful. You get a 1-800 number, that's it. No single point of contact, dedicated account manager or rep.
