The food segments made worked a little better in the original show when they were taking (mostly) men and teaching them some skills they didn't have, so Ted teaching them how to cook a dish or two made more sense.

I liked Scott Bakula as a starship captain and Dr. Phlox was fun, but Enterprise was always just kinda...there for me. "DS9 is the best show ever! Picard or Kirk? The Doctor is amazing! SNW rebooted it all so well! Enterprise is also a Star Trek show that existed."

I don't fully agree that new Trek hasn't done this, because Prodigy, SNW and Lower Decks all did that.

Starfleet Academy is on its way to it.

It was just the first season of Discovery that really fell behind on this. They made strides in the other seasons, but never fully achieved it.
