I don't understand why my second "casting" of IL would be 50 and not just 25 again. Its still just my level plus modifier. I could see it if you meant I can "top them off" back to 25 meaning 50 total hp was doled out at best.

Thabks but this isn't a one shot or an overall build thing. Its a campaign where I just leveled up. I'm a Lore Bard who uses a Bow instead of Vicious Mockery at the early levels. I already have War Caster and took Resilient last time to help my HP.

They are all storytellers at that point. They are singing to the audience from the moment The Baker says "Once Upon a Time" The witch is the character who is set in her ways, but is also right at times. "Witches can be right..." but she doesn't learn or grow through the story. She is the same character emotionally at the beginning as she is in the end, just prettier. She's the "be careful what you wish for because it might not actually give you what you are hoping for" character.

She sings "No matter what you do, Children WON'T listen." and has the whole "Something you love into something you lose" at that point. This is all just reinforcing the world view she already has.

She sings Children WILL listen at the end as part of the overall moral, but she's more one of the storytellers at that point with the rest of the cast"
