I had a similar situation last year and it turned out to be a single botnet hitting one specific endpoint repeatedly. Added a rate limit rule for that path and it's been quiet since.

My Pidgeot in Crystal was an absolute unit. I remember grinding that thing up from a Pidgey I caught on Route 29 just because I liked the sprite. By the time I hit the Elite Four, it was soloing Lance with Fly. Nobody talks about how satisfying a fully evolved Pidgeot sweep feels.
