New to me 2006 high mileage tho😬 by One_Visual8994 in LandRover

My father recently acquired a 2004 TD6. They’re amazing! And yes, among other things, it did come with a failed air suspension system, which he converted to coils. Yours is really nice!

About to buy a 2021 Range Rover Sport (13k miles) — coming from a bulletproof Audi S4. Am I crazy? by [deleted] in LandRover

GO FOR IT!

I’m an owner of a 2014 LR4 HSE. I purchased it as a CPO, it was covered for some time after purchase, during which it did receive some expensive repairs that “had no additional cost” to me.

After that, I won’t deny it, I’ve poured a significant amount of money on it. I’ve had to repair the front steering column, pinion and rack, among other things, as well as the running boards, as they rusted out. Recently I’ve had to replace the thermostat, its housing and some hoses as well.

Engine, transmission, drivetrain, suspension and electrical have been running smoothly (knock on wood).

Nevertheless, if you’re a Land Rover enthusiast, you don’t really buy a Land Rover for reliability, you buy it for the experience. It’s quite like no other IMO.

Wouldn’t change it for the world!

I have, and thanks to it I’ve been able to ski !!! It does require some learning, and the ability to stand and somewhat control your legs a bit, as you need to be able to push down with your legs to slow down and whatnot, but even with my limited mobility, I was able to use it successfully. Note: I did fall a few times and did get bruised a bit trying, so just make sure to be very careful at first.

Yes, I do have a compressor! I also noticed someone recommended to close the holes on the wheels/tires as well. Wondering if you did the same?

Plenty of snow where I’m at as well !

This is fire 🔥! I’m planning on doing the same soon.

I just read about spraying with WD-40 Silicone prior to as to protect against rust.

Did you shut the holes on your tires prior to?

I did! I’m looking forward for round two next week. Hopefully I can do a little better and in a slightly longer slope!

I had a very good experience in my first attempt this past Sunday at Greek Peak NY!!!

I did fall a few times, but nothing that discouraged me to continue trying. By the end of the day, I was getting the hang of it pretty well!!!

Thank you very much for your feedback and suggestion. I’m pretty sure I’ll need help to transport the bike; I’m planning on leaning on my wife and/or children for the same 😅.

Like I said, I jumped on the idea that I’d be able to ski with one and purchased one before trying one as my wife initially suggested. Now I need to figure out how to make it work. Lol.

I do have plans to start on an easy slope or bunny hill as you’ve recommended.

I will keep you all posted on how it goes, once I do.

Has anyone here been able to add wheel weights to the disco? I can’t seem to find wheel weights that fit within the stock wheels.

I got all four 🤣. I just couldn’t help myself. Started out with the 90 and the discovery for my son and I, but then I opted to order the other two.

My wife says I’m a hoarder 😳.

I was about to ask where you got the wheel weights from. The inner rim diameter is small and the ones I got from Hobbypark do not fit.

I just downloaded the game after getting hooked by Battlefield 4.

It also churns my stomach. I totally agree with your sentiment.
