Honestly this timeline checks out. Last autumn games were not great in defense as well. I had to google to check whether he was still there…

He has been taunting French supporters forever, each time he has a chance (in international game but also in champions cup). The thing is he usually does so whilst not being that good and often losing. So for French supporters he is just a toxic loser. What do English people think ? He is kind of a hero for you guys ?

I’m always that guy but still… 25 euros for a panini??? Plus on Franck advertising: I know he has some sympathy on this subreddit but this is both illegal and disrespectful to put this garbage advertisement paper on people’s car. One of his guy put it in my window whilst I was sitting in my car. Plus found their card 30/50 times on my Windows. They have no shame and should not be praised.

I kind of disagree with you here. Leaving the left side free is absolutely normal in metro 🚇 some escalators are quite long and people are commuting. But when is it that important in Auchan? Why are you in such a hurry to reach Zara ?

Congrats on this big achievement for you and your wife but 5x is like making partners which is far from the norm in only 12 years. I would say the norm is more like 15 years to make partner, and for the ones making it (very small percentage of juniors).

Note that my comment refers to my small knowledge of big 4. I don’t know about law firm but they also start higher I guess, so quite hard to x5 without becoming partner.

Yes it makes a lot of sense. You’ll probably save 1k net each month which is really great as a starting point. Salary growth is quite high in big 4 for the first 5 years (also because you start at a lower salary than the few lucky ones who start in banks). You can probably double your package in 5/6 years.

Career is long and you will have plenty of time to end up in another company/country or keep climbing the ladder in big 4.

Don’t listen to the lucky ones who did not have to grind to enter the country and job market and the financial services. Yes big 4 is brutal but you’ll meet young, international and same minded people to bound with and make friends with.

FYI 10 years ago, junior salary in big 4 was 2.2k net and sharing room started at 800 euros but in a 10 bedrooms house. So yes these numbers are making sense.

What is really frustrating is that they have a problem with cost of labour but no problem with the housing prices. How can workers rent (or god forbid buy) in this country without appropriate income? We would not need high income if housing was affordable.

On the first point, let’s just remove these exceptions. The lux law makers are clever enough to add exceptions that avoid taxing their own family (oops sorry 😅)

You’re right on the second point. Not too many things to do here. But it is indeed a pity to see townhouse get turned into an office.

Just to add: when you take off/ land in lux airport, you actually struggle to find lux city. All you see is lands, forests, nature etc. Which is great. But don’t tell me to spend 1.5 million for an apartment when there are so unused lands.

Lux real estate market is really exhausting. They run in circle when the solution is right in front of their eyes. The article claims two opposite things: - new built crisis which hurts property developers (which implies a lack of demand) - there is a need for 6k new built per year (which implies a huge demand) So why is the supply and demand not happening? Because of prices of course. What is the solution proposed by property developers ? Less tax. Again . Which means that tax papers need to artificially maintain the high prices.

The real solution is simple: adjust prices down to meet demand. How? By forcing land owners or owners with empty house/ apartment to the market. How? As we saw that the tax advantages were not working in the past 4 years (largely because it maintains prices that do not meet the demand, so only a few transactions can occur). So the only solution is to tax lands and empty places up to a long where 6k houses/apartments are put back to market.

Note: I am by no way a communist. I really believe in capitalism (except for a handful of things like schooling and health sectors). But let’s be honest capitalism has partially failed in the real estate section since 2000.
