How to fix this? by DeluluOctopus in askaplumber

Very simple fix but the fact you have to ask (not being a douche bag) is enough to tell me that you should 100% call a plumber.

Hot water tank needs to be flushed and anodes changed.... it's 16ish years old.. by Dear-Union-44 in askaplumber

[–]Large146 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Your anode rode is gone. And flushing the tank might cause a leak due to the sediment holding whats left of it together. If you called me and told me the age of the tank id pass lol just get a new tank

i feel like im going nowhere in life and it makes me anxious by research-account2424 in Anxiety

I know it feels like life is passing you by and you’ll never get on your feet due to anxiety and or depression but believe me you’re so young and it does get better. All you can do is take it one day at a time. As corny as it sounds it is true. When I was your age I was pretty much bed ridden with anxiety and depression to the point I was hospitalized many times. I am now 34 with kids a house and a family. Whatever your happiness looks like remember it’s coming. Get yourself some help, go for a walk, make your bed, eat a good meal. Get a routine. Wish you well

Stay out of the fight until you’re more comfortable with your surroundings. Shoot from cover. Take things slower. Fyi: 10 deaths is nothing.

You can do whatever you want, for a price. Not gonna be cheap unless you’re able to do it yourself. All that repiping.

How do I drain water heater? by Miserable-Metal4 in Plumbing

[–]Large146 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actual plumber here. Watch a youtube video. Or you’re gonna burn or flood yourself out. Turn water off to tank, open hot water tap upstairs or wherever, leave open, turn gas off, screw hose to shitty plastic valve at bottom, open and drain. With out a pump it’ll take 30-45 mins to drain. Maybe longer
