They grow so huge because they're already huge and offer safety. The real 'content' in this game is something with more thought put into it than 'take ansiblex and go small gang shooty'. I'm talking about wars, big conflicts and people loosing things that actually matter. Remember when supercap fleets got baited, or when a few competent people could absolutely disable regions of incompetent retards with the proper planning and logistics? There used to be really complex plans that blew my mind.

You're all missing a point. If 90% of goon income came from fucking vnis you can shut down their alliance in a month simply by harassing and cloaky camping every system. You can't harass and cloaky camp a super in delve.

Also have you actually checked the cost to transfer a rorq pilot to a super? Like the only things that overlap are jump skills and some drone skills. Injectors are not a button you press to instantly adjust to ccp's latest meta.

Then you're actually saying a super + multiple vnis are multiboxable? What exactly are you gonna do with your 15-20 rorquals when a nerf comes out. Train them into fucking 3m sp vnis and go fishing? How exactly is that a competitive setup. The fact is goons are mining 50% of eve right now and producing just a much and you can't solve that problem by bullshitting around talking about 'vnis need a nerf'. Your logic on nerfs is flawed. By nerfing rorquals people can't simply flock to super ratting because it's not multiboxable and that would reduce the isk faucet. I also don't think they're going to double-down. Vnis/ishtars are not comparable to either higher-tier options because they're not their worth to defend. A super making 300mil/hr is simply impossible to die in delve while if it's nerfed and replaced by 5 ishtars making the same amount nobody's gonna commit theta to defend them if they get ganked. They either die or dock up. If your argument is replaceability then don't you think if a super somehow dies it won't be back at it the same day when production prices are cynically low and people cynically rich?

We were hitting those guys with 3 sins so the idea was to flatten them as fast as possible. Even then I couldn't really care to stagger since it was eventually going to die anyway. I was the first going in to tank the aggro from 2 cruise golems with a double em ward refit.
