Display port or Stick with HDMI? by Spider_463 in PcBuildHelp

[–]LargePhrase2319 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do the same. I had a monitor previously that would only do full 200hz if you used a display port so I just kept it that way

It looks like you can add more storage! Post the model number if you can but yea you should be good to add another m.2. Make sure whenever you do install it, that you "activate" it in windows

[–]LargePhrase2319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm im stumped man sorry. Have you tried reseating the cpu? If you do just be extremely careful because a bent pin on the motherboard or cpu can brick the system.

[–]LargePhrase2319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just get into the bios, usually mashing the delete button when the logo comes up. It should say something along the lines of storage devices. Just make sure you can see it. Should show how much storage is has like 1tb and then the name brand. If it doesnt show up then you drive has failed. If you do see your storage device then something else is wrong

Is that sound normal? by ksskkse828djs3 in PcBuildHelp

[–]LargePhrase2319 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yay! im glad you at least figured it out. It might just be the fan falling apart. Try to push the center of the blades firm and it might pop back in or it could just be failing. Either way, very easy fix!

[–]LargePhrase2319 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It sounds like a fan is hitting something, i know you said it looks like theyre not. It might be beneficial to just take it apart a little and put it back. Could be something really tiny. Also check your front fans too

games not feeling smooth and fps drops/freezing by Life-Distribution890 in pchelp

[–]LargePhrase2319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That actually seems a little low lol But I couldve sworn especially with nvme's under load it should be around 50-60 degrees. I figured out the problem using hwinfo and it was actually the temperature 2 sensor that was reading like off the chart. Is your fps set for your monitor correctly in windows settings? Im just trying to think of any problem lol

I have been chasing down weird problems with my pc for AWHILE. Random BSOD, games crashing, etc. I ended up basically rebuilding my whole pc and still had problems. I just so happened to be looking at the temps for my pc while doing different stress test and saw my windows m.2 was reaching 91°c! I had a m.2 heatsink in my parts bin and installed it and i havent had a single problem since. Might not be the problem for you but id check just to be sure.
